Terrible Quality Control by Maker and SellerThe product I received has serious problems, apparently the result of p-poor quality control by BOTH the manufacturer and this seller.* First, the bottle had NO plastic security seal around the lid, meaning it may or may not have been tampered with prior to shipping.* Second, it had NO secondary styrofoam security seal under the lid (over the mouth of the bottle) AND no signs that it had ever had one at all.* Third, the label's barcode had been covered by a much larger sticker giving it a new barcode. On closer inspection, there was another DIFFERENT sticker under that sticker evidencing the bottle had gone through that process TWICE although both stickers had virtually the same new barcode info. All this labeling and relabeling means the bottle had been processed at least 3 times by the manufacturer, although whether it was full of capsules during the last 2 runs is unknown.* Fourth, the 2 new barcode stickers are so large that they cover up part of the original label's "WARNING" section, including part of the manufacturer's warning NOT to use the product if the security seal under the lid is missing - LIKE THIS ONE WAS.Since I live in Mexico, I have most of my Amazon orders shipped to friends in the US and they bring my goodies down here for me, eliminating the extra time and money required for international shipping. However, in this case I now have a product that the manufacturer insists that I shouldn't use, but which would cost me much more to ship back to the seller than the product is even worth, meaning I'm now stuck with a possibly defective or even dangerous product that I paid good money for.It seems as though both the manufacturer AND the seller have faulty Quality Control or perhaps none at all; not a good idea when it involves a product that you EAT.Regardless of where I live, none of this should EVER have happened and I'd like my money refunded. 2Noticed results very quicklyIt was suggested that I start to take D3 after a coworker heard I have knee joint pain. I felt results very quickly 5The effectiveness it does what it saysOne word..excellent!! My Cvit D levels had be below normal with the precsribe 50,000 vit...didn't move the levels at all...usedctheis priduct... now I've been told to stop until my next 6mth check up...I'm bacl to normal range 5SAVE OUR PLANET! I guess the vitamins are fine, but I really HATE when companies package their products in a ridiculously enormous bottle like shown in my picture. You could literally put 5 times as much in this ginormous bottle. Come on people, we ve got a huge problem with trash and recycling and this is just overkill. 2Tiny capsuleThese are tiny Softgels. I thought they would be bigger. I'm happily surprised. I take vitamin D because I'm not in the sun a lot and my doctor advised me to take them. These seem pretty high quality and I'm happy with the product. I have no idea if they are helping me or not though. 5WorksMy Vitamin D level was so low that my doctor ordered prescription strength. I opted for these instead. I no longer have a Vitamin D problem. These work and were cheaper than the prescription strength. Thank you! 5I have switched to Puritan's Pride supplementsOf course, I do not have scientific proof that these supplements do what they claim, but I also didn't have proof when I was using a more expensive supplement. I'm happy with the quality of the solfgels that I can see. I wish all supplements came in a softgel or capsule! 5Moldy DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCTOpened this bottle and was hit with the most horrific smell of mildew and rancid water! Unfortunately this product is not returnable so the joke is on us!
