NOT A TRAUMA PAD!NOT A TRAUMA PAD this is an abdominal dressing pad I've been in the healthcare field for 39 years as an Army field medic to a licensed practical nurse I would NOT put trust in these to control a significant bleeding wound the word trauma in the 1st product description should be removed 1I am very thankful.I am so glad I bought these pads right on time because a few days after they had arrived, I fell off the ladder while trimming a tree and I grazed my leg really bad. The bleeding was not stopping and I was working alone. And luckily I carried these pads and a tourniquet and it did the job while waiting for help from 911 to arrive. I am thankful this product did what was intended as it saved my life. 5Walmart carries a better product with a higher count in the storeThese are not very thick and not as large as expected, but as a light duty small to medium pad, they will work, but I will not be likely to reorder them. Walmart carries a better product with a higher count in the store. 3I guess you get what you pay forHaven't opened them yet, but they seem to be ridiculously thin and the 5 pks aren't boxed, but in saran wrap type of plastic. 2Everyone needs a combine in their trauma kit. This one is perfectAnyone who seen a lot of bleeding knows that the first thing you need to do is put a clean highly absorbent sterile pad on top of it. It's also nice if the pad has a relatively impervious backing to keep the oozing under control.This one is as good as it gets. Well-made, well packaged, it does the job. It's a good product and you get a fair number of them to throw into your trauma kit. It will allow you to keep the bleeding under control until you get to the hospital 5though know they will work like a charm should I need toVery well made! 5" x 9" combine ABD Trauma pads by Rescue Essentials received in reasonable amount of time and in new condition as expected. Very pleased customer. 5Great combi padsUnfortunately I had the chance to use one of these after a 10 chefs knife slipped and cut half way through my finger right at the joint. It was able to keep blood from running all over the place and kept everything together until I could get myself to the ER. I was impressed at how well they worked. Not with these guys! Better than twice the absorbency of other bandages for these type of wounds. 5Perfect and exactly what was neededThese 5x9 pads rounded out an AFAK. The packaging was intact and the pads fit the quick deploy bag perfectly.Will def buy again. 5
