Great Find, Great Product, Great ResultsI bought the heat wrap for my 80-year-old mother and she uses it every day on her lower back. She uses it for back pain and also for warmth, as her circulation is poor. I bought this one to replace one she had for years and finally gave out. She did not want one that plugs in, has a digital display, takes batteries, etc. She is old school and wanted a basic wrap that does what she needs it to do and without any bells and whistles. Bingo. 5Best one I have found yet!I have so many aches nd pains. Lol. I've been searching and searching for something like this that is versatile. I like that it has a good weight to it nd microwaveable flax. I tried the gel packs from Walmart. Junk. They burst open md you will burn yourself getting them out of the microwave. This was priced right as well and seems durable. I haven't used it cold yet. So I can't comment. It's great you can tie it up in different places. Please make one for knees ankles and tennis elbows!!!!!!!!!! This is a real post. I'm not getting paid for this. 5Well made and heats up quicklyBought this for my husband, who has been having lower back pain for the past few weeks. He had been using a similar product that I d had for years, but it fell apart when he removed it from the microwave the little rice-like pieces went everywhere. I think he heated it too often and for too long. I like this one better already because he can tie it around his waist and walk around with it on. And it stays in place when he lies down. He has been heating it for one minute on one side, then flips it over and heats it one more minute on the other side. It is nice and hot but doesn t burn his skin (he places it over his t-shirt). It has really helped to relieve some of the pain and loosen up the tightness. The seller sent a nice follow-up e-mail with instructions regarding how to heat it in the microwave so it won t burn. Great buy so far! 5The heat lasts for 20-30 min and my back immediately feels better. Did this in the AM and in the ...Tweaked my lower back recently due to spending long hours/days sitting at a desk and the subsequent pain was a PITA. Found out heat therapy would help ease/shorten the duration of the pain, so pulled the trigger on this as nothing else was working. Total back/life saver! I stick this on a dinner plate and microwave for 3 minutes and wrap directly to my lower back with a shirt on top. The heat lasts for 20-30 min and my back immediately feels better. Did this in the AM and in the PM and the pain/restricted motion cleared up. Great to have this on stand by for future back tweaks. 5Blessed relief.I owned 3 microwave heating units previously. One is a rough kind of fill (popcorn I think). I don't like it because it is not soft and comfortable so I don't use it. Another is filled with flax seed and is lovely except it has no ties and just is placed so you can't move around but otherwise like it. The third was similar to this one. It was filled with flax seed (my personal favorite). I had it for many months and loved it and used it daily for my painful sciatica. The last and final time I used it, I went to reheat it and must have pressed the wrong timing. A horrible smell filled the air and I ran to the microwave. There was still 7+ minutes on it. Who knows how long I set it for. I know I should have watched it the whole time but being impatient I didn't. I paid the price by losing the pad and having my microwave and house smelling offensively from the burnt product.I really need it so promptly went to Amazon (my lifesaver) and found two more with ties that looked good. The first one came the very next day and I liked the moist heat but the ties were not sufficiently long for my husband's or my waists. It tied but did not stay where we wanted it too. I only hoped the second one I ordered would work well. That one came the next day and fit well with long enough ties for it to stay put. It is comfortable and just a delight to own. I will let my husband share it because it really truly helps. Pain meds don't touch it but this soothes and does help.I'm sorry I didn't order two of these instead of one of each kind but I didn't know the other wouldn't have long enough straps to work as efficiently. However I'm grateful to get such a fantastic replacement and thank you for your wonderful product. 5It keeps me mobile!I absolutely love this wrap! I have chronic low back pain and have always been frustrated when I want to have heat on my back, but don't have the time to sit down with a pad against my back. This gives me freedom to walk around with it on. I love that it ties around my waist instead of velcro. That way I can make it as snug or loose as I want. The velcro on my older heating pad finally tore a hole in the pad where it connected. I have the need of using heat pad since twenty some years ago and found it challenging to get a good product- easy to heat up, holding heat long, easy to use on and off the body, well-made with good fabric and contents evenly and stably distribute throughout the pad. And it even goes beyond, for the design of the wrap makes it possible to easily wear the head pad in various part of the body!The price tag is higher than most other product, but the quality of it makes it well worth to pay more. I ve got one for my 94-year old mom to use and will have another one for myself.Thanks for producing this 5-star product! 5The Rolls-Royce of Heating Pads!My father, post surgery, was suffering from significant weight loss and back pains. It was recommended to us by his surgeon that we invest in a beaded heating pad to alleviate said pain. We were told to avoid the electronic types as their application was inferior in almost every which way and to be cautious of cheap options. I wish we heeded his advice from the start. After multiple worthless purchases, we've finally found a model that hits the spot and my father's mood is as different as night and day after using this heating pad.Quality: I don't know how to stress the point enough that this is a premium heating pad. Where-as other models would either fray, burn through, develop loose threads, omit a chemical like odor, and negative connotations alike - the Sunny Bay model is anything but. The padding is thicker than others on the market and abundant seed fill amount makes others look comical. He's been using it daily for a few months now and there hasn't been a single issue as of yet. I would say it's comparable to the $100 beaded heating pad made by Oakworks in terms of build and quality of material used, however, it does have one step on Oakworks in which I will detail next.Application: The main reason I hold this product in high regard is due to, after multiple trial and errors with other products, my father finally has a dependable heating pad that has taken away his pain. It's become a staple in his recovery, and for that, I am ecstatic. He simply microwaves it for a total of 4 minutes and the heat remains elevated & constant for 20 minutes+ while his pain dissipates. The fill does not shift, and instead of a spot patch of targeted heat, he says it heats and soothes the surrounding aches away as well. I can confidently say that is not the case for the other models he's used. As mentioned previously, the Oakworks is a top quality option we have high regards for with very little noted cons. However, what made the Sunny Bay model my father's go-to pad was the fact that the heat was constant for at least 20 minutes, where-as he could feel the other model start to chill after 10 minutes of use. Also, as this is being used for his back, it does an extremely good job of form-fitting to that part of the body. Most pads in the past, being stiff, would leave dead contact space which is surely not the case with the Sunny Bay. I'm sure this would hold true for other parts of the body as well.To sum, if you're looking for a cheap one and done heating pad, I would look elsewhere (and advise against such decision as well). Invest in quality. If you have a loved one needing some sort of heat therapy, I would purchase this model without thinking twice. It's superior to other models in all aspects and has been a godsend to my father. How this budget-friendly Sunny Bay model has fared better than heating pads surpassing $100+, I have no idea ...but I'm sure glad we've found this undisputed pain alleviator. 5
