Perfect against mosquitos!Perfect against mosquitos!From my students years, I remember that Vitamin B1 could be an effective repellent. I have never tried it.I made an Internet search. There is only one study that does not approve this usage. They tried only 100 mg a day. It did not work reliable although it was good for some of the volunteers. They concluded that it can depend on genetics and on the type of mosquitos.That is why I decided to try if ti works for me and to try a higher dose. I was lucky to find pills of 500 mg. So I am taking 500 mg in the morning every day.The result is unexpectedly perfect: No mosquito bites while walking the dog in the woods, while watering the garden late in the afternoon. The garden was especially bad: there were plenty of mosquitos and they were biting so drops of blood appeared on my legs. After starting Vitamin B1 there were no more bites. It happened to see and hear insect around my face in the park, but they were less and no bites.Well, my experience is not a clinical study but works perfectly for me.We can only speculate if the only clinical trial of Vitamin B1 as a repellent was biased. The truth is that they tried only one dose. We can wonder if they were interested in the effect of Vitamin B1 or wanted to affirm the usefulness of other chemicals that are offered as repellent sprays. It happens in the world of the industry-sponsored "science". 5Helpful for stutteringI recently noticed verbal fluency issues, namely stuttering, but with more of a mistranslation from brain to vocal chords when speaking.Through research I found that such issues can be caused by thiamine deficiency, and I take 4 of these tablets daily in combination with 400 mg of magnesium and my symptoms have completely alleviated.I consume large amounts of black tea and dark chocolate on a regular basis, both of which rob the body of thiamine. Beware. 5Do you have anxiety issues consider this.I take this to control anxiety and overal stress. 5IdkHonestly not sure how well this worked. I was taking this because I was also taking Horsetail which breaks down B1 in your system. All I can say is after taking this my pee is dark and smells strongly like the vitamin itself. To me I worry if it is even being absorbed since no other vitamin I take does it. Although I m sure it works somewhat since I don t bear any symptoms of B1 deficiency. 3Like it lots!I brought this on a recommendation from someone who had tried it for foot pain, I am very pleased to say it has lessened the pains in my feet.
