EnjoyableFlavor is OK, but still a little bitter even when only steeping for less than a minute. Maybe a drop of lemon will make it better. I'll continue to buy due to how it's manufactured.3great tea not great packagingThe product itself is great however several of the packages had ripped open along the seams in shipping so I opened the brand new box to a shower of loose tea all over my floor. The way they are split seems like a manufacturing defect however only 4 of the 72 had this problem so not a huge loss. Super fragrant so far very happy!4The Best Black CTC Loose Tea On The MarketI am a Tea Connoisseur. I have all kinds of exotic teas. I prefer black teas... the green and white teas just don't have much taste to me. But for all my exotic, expensive, high-end China Black Teas, Indian Black Teas, Earl Grey Teas, Ancient Tea Tree Teas, Golden Black Teas, and Flavor-Infused Black Teas... I find myself going back time and again to this good old-fashioned "Regular Tea".A lot of "tea connoisseurs" turn their noses up at any tea, such as Red Rose, which is made by the CTC (crush, tear, curl) method, because this manufacturing process turns the tea into tiny hard pellets rather than the longer strips of tea leaves that the older "orthodox" manufacturing techniques produce. I reject the snobbery of the anti-CTC crowd. Indeed, while several of my favorite teas are traditional long-leaf loose teas, I have found that the CTC pelletized tea usually produces a stronger and richer flavor than the longer-leaf teas. They can criticize CTC teas as being "homogenized" or "generic" all they want... but you cannot argue with the result, which is a much better-tasting and full-flavored tea, in most cases. Thank you, Red Rose, for giving us a very affordably-priced and wonderfully rich-tasting CTC style black tea, rather than giving us over-priced long-leaf snobbery. Red Rose is the best-tasting loose black tea on the market today. This tea is mostly sold in tea bags, so being able to get it loose, like this, and control the quantity (use more tea per cup) is great.5O.K. and drinkable -This is an O. K. tea that is drinkable. I believe the Red Rose Tea that I usually buy in the United States supermarket is slightly better tasting and slightly less money in price, but this was O. K. for an experiment, for some variety, and a different tea this one time. However, I will go back to my usual grocery market for the usual Red Rose package next tea purchase.3Slightly bitter, overpriced on Amazon, unappealing packagingI loved this tea when I sampled it in Canada- there was not a hint of the usual bitterness that seems unique to most teas. However, I was sorely disappointed when I bought this on Amazon- there was a noticeable bitterness in my tea. Also, I was dismayed to find the tea bags were thrown in haphazardly without a protective inner foil to seal in freshness and there was fine tea dust scattered all over the inside of the flimsy cardboard carton. A string for the bags was missing unlike the tea bags I encountered in Canada. At the astronomical price of $12 and change, I wish these niceties were taken care of. Will I buy again? Depends on whether the tea continues to taste bitter or I get used to it. Or if I could get my own carton at a grocery store the next time I visit Canada- need I add, that taxes notwithstanding, I could still get the same tea at a fraction of the price I paid on Amazon?3The best affordable chemical free tea!Love this tea! Canadian Red Rose is tasty and previous reports show it is one of the few non organic teas that are free of pesticides and harmful chemicals.5Red Rose Orange Pekoe Tea.Have tasted much better orange pekoe tea. Bought it because of the reviews and without pesticides, though one said it was funky. Right. Not bad, but will not buy again. Will stick with my Stash Organics.2The closest thing to a dislike is that there isn t a string tag to remove ...Canadian Red Rose has a different taste than what you can buy at local US grocery stores. The closest thing to a dislike is that there isn t a string tag to remove the tea bag, have to use a spoon. That is grasping for a dislike. Canadian Red Rose Orange Pekoe is the best5Like itI was looking for an orange pekoe tea. Lipton didn't taste good anymore to me. This is absolutely delicious. One bag will easily make two cups. The funny thing is Red Rose is owned by Unilever who also owns Lipton. I bought the Red Rose Canadian as was suggested by a friend.5Tastes great, brews strong, pesticide freeTetley tastes great, is black tea (more medicinal I think) but ranks second just after Lipton for pesticides, so I did my homework and bought this. Tetley I saw for two and a half dollars here (it is usually pushing five bucks here locally), and this tea was eleven-something. That's the downside of course. It tastes as good as Tetley, and that's the upside.5
