Customer Reviews

I'm transitioning to Zero Waste, so the packaging that these came in made ...Bought these pads a few months back in August, so I have had some time to really break them in and write a review (which I've been so excited about!).I'm transitioning to Zero Waste, so the packaging that these came in made me happy. I did order other products at the same time, so everything came in a large box (less packaging, less jet fuel hahaha), and the individual box that these came in is also recyclable in my area. Pads came neatly rolled up and inside the box with instructions for how to use and launder them.I also chose organic reusable pads to help my with health, as some of you may already know that mainstream pads are processed and come with many harmful chemicals on them. Now with these, hygiene is very important! The maintenance may be what pushes some people away, but really it is just a small lifestyle change that leads to a healthier self. Right after I have used them for my period, I rinse them with COLD water first (never hot, hot water makes the stains stay) and then put them in a bowl of water with one part of white vinegar to help whiten the pads. Since these pads go into a very sensitive region, I use a homemade organic detergent (which I use for everything else anyway, but for those of you who prefer regular detergents an organic one may be better and safer for this). To prevent them from getting lost, I also wash them inside a mesh bag.Overall the product is very comfortable and I have been in love! Store-brand pads get a really bad smell and make me feel sweaty and uncomfortable down there, but these have been very helpful. I do wish the pads were a little thicker (they are fine for me but may be too thin for others), but maybe Hesta already has something like that (I will have to take a look!). I will be making my second purchase today, since I want to be able to use two pads a day to keep things clean. I highly recommend these and I hope you all pass on the word to friends and family or even give them to someone as a Christmas/birthday/bridal gift. 5These are fantastic! I don't use them on my heavy flow ...I don't know for sure how long these pads last, I've heard up to five years and some say up to three years. I use them consistently, almost every day, I had a friend who got me into using panty liners every day and I could never kick the habit, so instead of continuing to flood my trash can with one-use panty-liners I decided to use this. These are fantastic! I don't use them on my heavy flow days but I use these on my light days. They're easy to clean, I rinse them in cold water then I scrub them down with a bar of detergent soap (I use a Zote), then after scrubbing and rinsing the soap out I pour some vinegar on them and then rinse them out again but with hot water and stretch them out and lay to dry. This has helped them keep their color (light brown) and keep stains off! Having 5 is great because I have them in rotation, although I am considering buying larger ones because then I won't have to rely on pads that are only one-time use. I have recommended these to my family members and hopefully they'll be interesting stocking stuffers. lol! 5Disappointed, frustrated, and baffled!I had been wanting these for some time and finally decided the time was right to get them. I am in the beginning stages of menopause and sometimes miss a month to 3 months of my period. Unfortunately, I never know when it will show up, so I have to be ready all the time now and that means wearing a panty liner daily, just in case. I decided reusable lines would be a lot more cost effective, so I bought these. So far, I have tried them with 3 different types of panties and they just DO NOT stay in place. All day long, I have to pull them back up to the front. And I have been sick this week, so my activities have been very low, but it still moves to the back constantly. I really have no idea how anyone can love these unless they have some secret to keep them in place, and if so, then please share with me.I really wanted to love these and hate to leave a bad review, but I really cannot stand them.I do not know the return policy on these, but due to the personal nature of this item, I wouldn't feel comfortable sending them back anyway.Really wishing I had bought $40 worth of my regular liners instead of these. 1Bigger than a normal linerI bought these because I was tired of repurchasing dry-liners/panty liners and I noticed how much waste I was leaving behind with the wrapped packaging. These (for me) are the size of a regular pad they could be made a little shorter. I put them in the washer and dryer to shrink them a tiny bit. Because they are a bit big they bunch up in the crotch and I feel like I need to readjust them often. However I haven t found a reusable liner yet that is any smaller than this so I m just getting used to the feeling and enjoying the eco friendly aspect of them 4Same size as a disposable, much better for you and the environmentItem as described, appears well made. Is very absorbent and looks cute too. I'm switching from disposable to reusable pads and after trying out the Hesta panty liners and liking them, decided to buy more of their products. I bought these pads because they're the most similar to disposable pads in appearance and feel compared to other reusable panty liners. Just FYI for those of you who are thinking of switching over to reusable menstrual products, these panty liners are the same size but slightly thicker than a disposable; but still thinner than other reusable brands out on the market and much more breathable (won't make your girl parts sweat unlike the fleece or minky material other brands use). However, these are not waterproof and are meant only for everyday use or very light flow. If you only want back up for your menstrual cup and the smallest pad possible, I would get this seller's slim pads in the new white or blue/pink dot style(s) which do have a waterproof layer and are only 1" longer in length but still the same width and soft cotton material as these panty liners. I noticed that since I switched from disposable to reusable pads, I don't suffer from skin irritation or odor down there which is one of the reasons I switched. Fast delivery. 5I love these pretty pantyliners!Really beautiful cloth pads and so so soft! I've used the moon cup in the past (leaving behind tampons for quite a few years), but I've decided I don't like to put anything inside me, especially when I'm menstruating during my first few days and I'm feeling really tender and sensitive. It feels wrong to put something inside when I really want to let my blood flow freely. I really think this has reduced my pain, tenderness and cramping significantly. With these organic cloth pads, I feel like I'm just wearing my regular underwear. They're really comfortable, the designs are pretty and charming, and it's important that I use organic cotton next to such a delicate area (cotton is one of the most heavily sprayed with pesticides). After using, I soaked them overnight in cold water with a little Dr. Bronner's soap and hydrogen peroxide, and they came out completely stain free! I absolutely love these, and will buy again. 5Great product! Slightly different than the beige onesI really like these, though for some reason they're cut a centimeter or so larger than the beige colored ones I bought from the same brand! I guess that's just production inconsistencies? Anyway, I still like them, and if you put them in the dryer on low heat I haven't experienced any shrinkage (which i was trying to do since they were slightly bigger than the beige ones which were a perfect size); I think they might shrink a bit upon first washing them (even in cold water) but after that it's fine. So FYI if you would prefer putting them in the dryer.Oh yes, another weird thing, which maybe I just don't understand, is that they've got TWO snaps (the beige ones only have one) all I can think is it's for people who want it to fit snugger on their underwear, but if you do that it'll be misshapen, so I don't really understand what it's there for. Also, for some reason the packaging it came in said it was three regular menstrual pads and I thought I received the wrong item, but it turned out to be the five liners I ordered once I opened the box. Very strange! But yes, still a great product, they're comfortable and effective! (though, I will say I haven't had any major incidents with them, it's just for backup) 5Better than ExpectedThese ended up being better than what I was expecting. Fit fine, didnt move around while being worn. Im honestly kinda surprised. The only thing i wish is that it had an extra male part of the button (i think its called the snap), because there are two female parts (grommets?).. two grommets is great because you can adjust the width, but at the smallest setting theres a little flap of fabric hanging which if it had the second snap could be snapped onto place. Not a big deal though, the extra fabric doesn't get in the way and is pretty much forgotten about immediately. 5USE OXY CLEAN AND COLD WATER FOR STAINSThese are great as panty liners. They are small and very thin, but do not leak. I was surprised that the outside layer did in fact stop leaks. These pads are only for backup of tampons or cups. They will not hold a lot of fluid. In fact, it did leak once when I had unexpected heavy flow and some blood got on the edge. The edges will draw blood to the outside and under the pad.For cleaning, I always use a cold water soak in oxyclean powder. I usually collect dirty pads under my bathroom sink till my period is over. Then I take them all to the basement to soak for a few days, adding new water and oxy daily. After the stains are gone, I wash them in cold water with regular detergent. I do dry mine on low. They shrunk a bit, but not much. I have no stains on any of my pads with this method. As for getting the pads to stay put, I found that using underwear with a wide crotch and synthetic material kept the pads in place. Cotton underwear with a thinner crotch allowed the pad to slip. If slipping is an issue, I might put horizontal zigzags of hot glue on the back to see if that will help. Another option would be to glue Velcro to the back. (The hook side of Velcro)I just ordered the regular size with no wings in brown to try because I liked the panty liners. I will probably get more pantyliners as well. They don t cause added odor like plastic disposable pads do. I feel good about not throwing away plastic pads in the garbage every month and I m sure I save a lot of money by not buying disposables. For carrying them around, I m using a waterproof pouch with a ziplock bag inside for the dirty pads. The thick plastic and ziplock lock in odor. I would never wash my pad in a public sink as no one wants to see you do that. No one wants to wash their hands in a sink with someone s blood in it. But it s not really that gross to carry around dirty pads in your purse if they are in a ziplock, then another waterproof pouch. It s a small sacrifice for the major benefits of reusable pads, for you and the earth. 5I do like that it's so soft and better for my body ...Well, I'm really not sure how I feel about this. I do like that it's so soft and better for my body BUT(and it's a BIG but), it really does move around like crazy. I have to wear scrubs at work and after a little walk(not a long one), I can already feel that it's heading toward the back and it just bugs me so much. It's not like I can go to the bathroom all the time to fix the issue so I have to endure the feeling of this thing in the back of my butt for a while. The first day I wore this, I got skin irritation on the back because it kept rubbing off. I was gonna buy some long pads as well after giving this a try but I'm really not sure if I should now or not. It's not like I wear narrow undies or anything. This thing actually fits my undies perfectly but it still moves around so much. If you can wear jeans or other tight pants or something at work, then it might not move as much but for scrubs, good luck on keeping them on one spot. I don't want to give it a 1 or 2 because it does seem to be a nice product but if it doesn't stay in place, then it really doesn't do any good, does it? 3
