Good product bad smellGreat quality but I didn t realize how strong smell this has.. and it s not a pleasant smell. Very hard to breath kind. It stinks up the whole room. Giving a 4 star and not a 5 because The smell kills me a little each time I open it.4Smells AwfulThis carrot seed oil gave us an instant headache and didn't smell like carrot seed oil. I'm not sure if this is a bad batch or what. But I would ask for a sample direct from Plant Therapy before buying. This is not a product that I would recommend for body care as the scent was very off. Unfortunately, there were no lot codes or batch information present upon the jar, so I can not give you more information about what to avoid. Sorry to leave poor feedback, but I am also sorry about the poor quality of this product!1Not sure yet, but.....I just received this oil, so I'm not sure yet if it deserves the 5 stars, but I can say that it stinks like heck. Oh my, I've never smelled an essential oil like this. It's almost unbearable. However, I did not buy it for the smell. I got it for the amazing benefits that it is said to give the under eye area. Also, please do not let this get into your eyes. It's gotten into my eyes twice already and it stings like crazy. Will update this rating if it does not work for my under eye area.5Superb qualityI discovered the Plant Therapy brand on Amazon and I have been very impressed with all of the products I have purchased. The carrot seed oil is equally good. All are high quality, pure, strong and do their job well. I also purchased some items directly from Plant Therapy. Recently, my partner had a serious accident. I used the carrot seed with other oils to treat the scar on her face. I also made a blend of their organic peppermint oil and lavender in a carrier oil, and it really has helped her painful muscles. I highly recommend all of the Plant Therapy products, which in addition to their quality are very reasonably priced.5NEVER EVER LOOKED BETTER!!!!!Just know that you're not buying it for the wonderful smell, you are buying it because of what it does for your skin. If you can't handle the smell, add lavender or lemon. I've been using this product for about a month and I'm absolutely stunned at the results!!! It's getting rid of the wrinkles on my forehead and I'm so not kidding!!!!!! This is better than any product I've ever spent money on and my drawer looks like those commercials on TV where there are gobs of bottles..I've spent ALOT of money on these products. BUT I'M DONE!!!! Do yourself a favor and get some of this, mix with coconut oil and keep in a spray bottle. Wash your face with whatever you use then spray this on face AND NECK and massage gently, let dry then moisturize. Give it about two weeks and you should notice a difference. Your skin will thank you!I used to suffer from abscesses on my bottom when I took birth control pills (took a long time to figure out the source of the issue). I put this on them and it took the pain and swelling down in hours. Otherwise I'd have them for months suffering! Now I use it to minimize fine lines and discoloration from the occasional pimple. I also used it on something that looked suspiciously like something pre-cancerous, gone!!!!I tried one from a local store and it was a waste of money. This has a strong musk smell so I used it in the evening. The benefits far outweigh the scent. I'm accustomed to it now. Love this product!!!!5Love this oil ... but not the smell so much! Ways to get around it though :)Love this oil ... just not the smell.This oil has many skin care uses and helps with lots of issues.I would need my essential oil books to go into them all.The one I use it for most often is sunscreen and it's fabulous!I have compared using it vs. not and when I don't my face, neck, and chest gets sunburned - so it's really working.I just put about 1 tablespoon of fractionated coconut oil in the palm of my hand, 2 drops of carrot seed oil, and 2 drops of lavender oil (to cover the carrot oil smell - think musty rotten carrot dirt) and then use my fingers to rub it all over where needed. The lavender covers the ick part of the carrot smell and turns it into a sweet, melon type smell. In fact my son is always asking who is eating melons when I wear it together.Warning - without the lavender I can't stand using it on my face because of the smell, it's that bad by itself.With this on I get a little color but no burn at all, even after hours in the sun (4 - 6 hours).5Great for skinI absolutely love this oil. Must have for skin. I thought that since the oil comes from the seed it would be a mild to scentless oil, however that is obviously not the case. In the moment I just went with it and spread the oil mixed with jojoba all over my face and left for work. I didn't think I would ever use it on my face again because of the odor. When I checked myself in the mirror at work I was shocked I could tell my face loved it! I found it to be more watery / clear in color combared to other brands I have bought carrot seed oil from like Edens Garden and Plant Guru. I prefer a carrot seed oil that is much deeper in color and a these other brands have also had a more pleasant aroma. I won t be purchasing this carrot seed oil again.2Not liking most but I do love the arganI think I will stick to Edens Garden oils. The carrot seed from EG is stronger and more effective. I ve tried 5 oils from Plant therapy (PT) so far and 1 carrier oil (argan). Not liking most but I do love the argan, however. The tea tree and carrot seed are much weaker than EG oils. For the people that say this stinks...there is carrot oil and then there s carrot seed oil. It does smell very earthy and like a root but it s not that bad. Maybe I m just used to it now but I do remember disliking the scent upon my first few tries. This is amazing for your skin, do not get it near your eyes!!! I will continue to use up this bottle and see if results change, I ll be sure to update my review if so. 4 stars because it s not the worse and I don t feel this company deserves low ratings because I like another brand more. I have seen tons of people swear by PT opposed to EG. I guess I will continue with my comparisons as I haven t tried PT s lavender yet. If the lavender doesn t work for me then I just might give up.4Does it work? I may never knowI'm an African American woman (19 years old), and I bought this to spot treat post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from acne because I thought the high concentration of beta carotene/vitamin A might be useful in fading the pigmented spots. However, the smell is so off-putting I really don't know if I can continue using the oil consistently. I would say I'm not super sensitive to smells, but this one really got to me (so this isn't really a knock to this specific product, just a warning to anyone who wants to use any carrot seed essential oil - the smell is a lot to deal with)4
