Not impressed with flavor profileThese have been the weakest "dark roast" coffee K-cups I've purchased so far. The price was right when I made my first subscription but then increased by 25% for the next order. I cancelled and went back to Solimo and Caza Trail brands which are stronger, more flavorful blends. I can't say that I would recommend this for someone who really likes strong coffee.3Wonderful for the priceThe medium roast is good! For the price point it makes a great cup of coffee without making me feel guilty for drinking an extra cup. I have not experienced any trouble with the pods (mentioned by another reviewer) and just ordered my second 100 count box.5Great Taste at a Great PriceI purchased this product for the first time based on the competitive price in the hope that it would measure up to more expensive brands. "Hope springs eternal" so consumers often buy less expensive brands on a prayer. On this occasion my prayer was answered in the positive. Pier 3 coffee has the premium brands high quality taste and color. I would recommend this product to all who are seeking coffee pleasure at a great price.5Great value for a good cup of coffeeA few of us decided to do a taste test of 8 different dark roast coffees. The test was done blind so only the person brewing knew which was which. Pier 3 Dark Roast came in 2nd place but since it is significantly cheaper, I'd say it is a great value for the taste. I was surprised it even beat out what I thought was my favorite coffee.5Great coffeeTastes great.Smooth and rewarding taste.5Lousy design and doesn t work in the KeurigI read the reviews so I was hoping the product had improved but it hasn t. The Kcups are lousy. I m not sure if it s the lining or the fact that the coffee is ground so fine it just doesn t allow the water to go though. At any rate, the pressure builds up after only a small amount goes through into the cup and then the keurig cuts off. Or, if it does manage to brew there are grounds in the cup. Sadly, I do like the flavor of the coffee so I ll cut the tops open, use two at a time in a pour over filter on top of my cup. At least I can use the keurig to brew the hot water. The price was cheap enough but the inconvenience was a pain. Don t buy this.1SatisfiedI am a coffee snob and fussy about my coffee. For me, this makes a really nice cup of coffee when I use three or four ounces of water. Six ounces is too weak.Everyone is different. Good price and really worth trying.4It's just convenientTaste is bold enough, but not like a real coffee house brew. It's cheap enough compared to others so I keep it on hand for easy make n go. On Sundays I prefer a more gourmet style though. I'd compare this to Folgers medium roast.3pleasant surpriseI've been disappointed in many k-cups for inconsistant strength and was somewhat skeptical when ordering these. They are some of the best k-cups I've tried, even better than my favorite Folgers 1850. Bold without being overwhelming or bitter. And the price is amazing for what you get.5Poor cup strength.I enjoy the favor of the coffee, but the quality of cups are so poor. Fifty percent of the time the bottom of the cup collapses and does not puncture and let the coffee flow. The pressure then causes the coffee to come out the top of the cup, bringing with it the coffee grounds. The only way to avoid a mess is to press the cup down prior to closing the brewer. I have never had this problem with any other single serving cups.3
