These are my favorite insoles for cutting down the stinkThese insoles are fantastic for keeping the stinky shoes in check. They are leather on the foot side and an "active charcoal filter" on the shoe side (ie bottom of the insole). The leather & charcoal filter really do cut down on the smells - your mileage may vary. I've tried many, many other brands and these are by far my favorite. Be sure to order a size or two up. I have a pair of size 45 (aka US 12, UK 11) in a pair of Onitsuka Tiger size 10.5 without having to cut down the Pedag insoles to fit them. Also keep in mind that these are very lightly padded, bordering on not being padded at all. They are not going to provide you with any extra support, but they are quite comfortable. 5Not good for boat shoesI really wanted these to work as supplemental insoles for my top-siders, but they didn't really work out. I actually sail in my Sperry's (I know, what am I thinking), so the inside can get fairly yucky. I figured a set of removable insoles would help. But, they bunch up inside the shoe and also stick to the bottom of my feet. I guess they'd be fine in a pair of dress shoes where you were wearing socks. 1Great insole replacement; order a size up!These insoles feel great! They have a soft leather feel to them that is of pretty good quality. The leather is not as good as the leather found in the outside of a Sperry shoe, but it serves its purpose of repelling water and being durable. I followed the advice of others and bought them a size larger than the shoe size and they fit perfectly. I ordered a "US M10/EU 43" for my size 9 "Sperry Top-Sider Men's Billfish 3-Eye Boat Shoe"Update: worn often and the insole is still holding up great after 1 year of regular use! They have lasted longer than the original insoles.Over time the leather has turned a darker shade of brown and have molded well to my feet. I wouldn't say it provides much cushion or support so if you're looking for lots of padding, this probably isn't the product you want. That said, it provides a nice extra layer and the leather finish is both breathable and attractive. Not sure how well the carbon works as I haven't worn it very long. Although they have men's sizes, the insole seems to run a little narrow so it's probably better suited for women's shoes. Overall, these were exactly what I was looking for. 4Fixed up my tired Tieks!I got these to put in my Tieks to rejuvenate them a bit. They're perfect! I was worried that they might be too thick and considered the 172s without the latex, but these are great and seem to hold their shape well. If you've worn your Tieks (or other leather ballet flats) enough to consider these inserts, they're probably broken in enough to have a little wiggle room to add these. I didn't want to mess around with trying to remove the original leather if I didn't have to.Because I'm in women's sizes, I converted to men's (by just searching online for a chart) and then went one size up from that based on reviews that they run small. Trimmed a tiny bit on the heels and they were a perfect fit. I'm about to place an order for another set of these. 5Very satisfyingI was looking for an insole to replace a damaged one. I took out the damaged one from my wedge shoes and this one fit my shoes so well. My shoes are 6.5 and I ordered 6-6.5 and it fit my shoes perfectly. I didn t need to use glue or anything. I ordered 3 kinds of insoles. This one is the best quality and price out of three. Totally recommend it! 4Prefer Shoesulu brand on amazon for cheap insole - easy to crease/poor quality leatherI appreciate that Amazon / the vendor sent me a replacement however I would not purchase again.The first insole came with a crease in the center which I thought, no big deal, however when seated in a Chelsea boot, there isn t enough grip/support and the the insole shifts and folds as you walk furthering the damage.I thought a fresh pair with not defects might be better however the same thing occurred.I would recommend going with Shoesulu or w/e the other cheap brand is on amazon with a few hundred reviews. I bought that one as well and it was not only better leather but the cushion /support stayed in place and did not crease fold upon extended use (daily walking boot) 2Helped with synthetic allergyIf you happen to have issues with your feet and you suspect that it s a problem with synthetic material, put these over your insoles. This did the trick for getting rid of issues I had with orthotics. 5Buy them larger than you need.I have a men's size 10 Sperry topsider.I ordered these insoles because I wanted leather insoles as close to the original as I can find. Luckily I read the review section as many people suggest buying them larger. I ordered a size twelve for my l size 10 Sperry and it fit width perfectly. Had I ordered a 10 it would be much too narrow. As for length these insoles certainly run on the small side because for them to fit all I had to trim was the heel at the set of dots closest to the edge. It's not a big deal. Love the insoles. Feel great. 5Breathable leather insoles rock!I use these in all my shoes. They provide an extra leather layer (not too heavy) which breathes, is absorbent, and enables some airflow around my feet. These have active carbon, which helps reduce foot odor--great, if you tend to go sockless. The only thing NOT perfect about this latest pair (and why it got dinged a star) is that the baby toe on the left one crumpled in my shoe, and it would not straighten out. --I ended up trimming the wrinkled portion off. 4
