Side effects of vitamin B6The product stated is fine, but I had a very serious side effects. I've been taking vitamin B6 and a B complex every morning for approx. 1 1/2 years. Approx. 1 year ago I started to get the feeling of pin's and needles and burning of my feet. I then started getting muscle pain in my lower legs and began to have a hard time walking. After many visits to several Doctors and an array of blood tests it was found I was overdosing on vitamin B6. I now have mild neuropathy of the feet, which may go away after awhile. Stopped the vitamins and the burning and leg cramps are almost gone. Be careful with your supplements!1Anti-anxietyTaking B6 with B12 has almost completely eliminated my anxiety, I have a ton of energy and feel more positive when I take it. I recommend it to anyone who has memory issues or anxiety or depression.5TOXIC doses. Take at your own risk!You do not need to take this much. This is a ridiculously high amount. Overdoses cause permanent damage to the nerves, not to mention possible other problems that haven't yet been identified yet by research. Don't assume that just because supplements containing high levels of a vitamin are sold on Amazon that it means that that's a safe amount to take."The European Community Scientific Committee on Food defined intakes of 50 mg of vitamin B6 per day as harmful and established a UL of 25 mg/day."1Works wellI got it for lucid dreaming. It begins to work with a minimum of 200mg.Great.5Good brand for the priceB-6 is a catalyst for amino acids.....so if you take any amino acid alone you need to pair it off with B-6 for the body to utilize it well. I've used other brands (I worked in a health supplement store - major chain, which I won't mention) and comparably the price is very economical and it does produce results. How can you tell? SO....Does it alleviate any symptoms that you have in at least 14 days? It does take at least two weeks to see a difference when it comes to supplements as opposed to pharmaceutical medication. You should always do the research with several reputable websites as to what other synergistic substances work with the amino acid. For example, Taurine and B-6 are sufficient. Diarrhea means the dose you are taking is a bit much. Lysine and/or Proline and B-6 works better with Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid). Look for reputable sites, like Linus Pauling Institute, that do extensive research with mega foods, that can steer you in the right direction. I don't care about the FDA....they're in the pocket of Pharma. I've been researching and trying supplements for years (thus being hired for a major supplement chain sales). AND....you should check out brands on the GMP (Good manufacturing practices certification) website.5I feel better and think more clearlyWhen I routinely take the B series, B1, B6, B12 and folic acid, I feel better and think more clearly. A clear head is important for me in my work as a bench chemist. NOW's version seems easily absorbed and effective.5OverdoseShould have searched harder for a lower dose. This is 100 mg, while the recommended daily amount depends on your age and other factors (Google it), but the max is 25 mg, and B-6 in excess is neurotoxic.1I am thrilled!I purchased this on June 9. I read on a migraine site that vitamin B-6 can prevent or reduce attacks. Here I am July 5 and no migraines. I was having them twice a week.
