Just be sure they're big enough to coverJust so you know, I bought this men's size 12 insole in order to be sure that there was enough material to cover the inside bottom of my women's size 10 boot (roughly a men's 8). That is because when I previously bought the right size according to Moneysworth & Best's chart, the insole that arrived was cut so narrow in width from heel to toe that it noticeably failed to insulate and I had to go through the bother of returning them and buying something else that I could cut to fit. I am telling you this because this company may be doing this skimpy cutting throughout their line.This insole measures 4 1/8" across the widest part of the toe area, 3 1/4" across the widest part of the heel area and 11 7/8" in length. It is relatively easy to cut to size. It is also important to know that each insole is 5/16" thick, almost 3/8" in places. That's thick. You need to know that in order to calculate whether there is room in your boot for them.There is grey fiber making up the bottom 2/3 of the thickness - the metalized layer is on the very bottom as a reflector - and the layer that is in contact with your feet is white felt.I believe these are very good replacement insoles for your Sorels or other brand deep winter boots. 4Worth every penny when paired with warm, dry socksWorth every penny - kept my feet very warm in my hiking boots in weather down to the mid-20's during the day and night with a single pair of good merino wool socks.However, do not expect these insoles to do the heavy lifting for you, and remove the need to do common sense things to keep your feet warm - they are not magical. You still need to make sure you carry plenty of changes of socks, and change them when you're done hiking and arrive at camp to keep your feet dry, and change into new/dry socks to sleep in. However, if you keep your feet dry with these in, you will be very happy that you have that extra insulation from these soles.If you're going to use them in hiking boots, as I do, you want to make sure you don't try and use an extra cushion sock with them, or else you will actually lose warmth from not leaving any room in your boot. These are thick soles, so a full cushion sock is generally the most room you have to spare after putting these in. Enjoy! 5Perfect for snowboardingHad some old snowboard boots whose cheap, rubber insole had become thin and useless. I'm pretty miserable in the snow when my toes start freezing solid so I set out to find a solution. I stumbled on these as a possible solution instead of battery heated socks and I can say I am 100% satisfied and thoroughly impressed!Just had three days on the slopes and the ONLY time my feet got cold was when the boot was already cold putting them on. After a minute or two of calf raises to get the blood flowing my feet were warm the whole day. Having my boot strapped to a frozen board for 8 hours means a good insulating layer is a must and I wholeheartedly recommend these. 5- 25? Sorry, but I've just got call BS on that.I purchased these after reading some of the great reviews they received and couldn't wait to try them out. They fit my boots perfectly and I followed the insertion instructions (metal side down) hoping they would help insulate my feet from the cold ground while walking my dog this evening. My boots were dry, as were the clean pair of ragg wool socks that I was wearing. However, I honestly did NOT notice any discernible difference with regard to their warmth. While they help cushion the foot because of the additional padding and thickness, as other reviews have stated, they did not provide any additional warmth - much less warrant a rating to -25. Fortunately, I don't have to contend with -25 temperatures very often and you'd be hard pressed to find any Inuit or Yupik people validate the veracity of their -25 rating and product claim.Don't believe the hype and false product claims. If you're looking for a warmer insole, don't waste your money on these. 2Works greatOrdered these to go in my Lacrosse neoprene barn boots. My feet were getting painfully cold in them, I was unsure if something like this would work or not... however I'm very pleased. I live in Arkansas, but our winters are cold. So far I've used them in temps as low as upper 20s but it will keep getting colder. My feet are very comfortable now with these insoles, I can literally feel the heat generating when I walk, and they stay warm when I'm standing or sitting. I did read from other reviews they run small, so I ordered 2 sizes too big and only had to trim them a small amount to get them to fit. Great product and worth the money. They have worked perfect for my needs. 5Thick and very warm.Quite durable. Before the purchase I ve read other reviews and most of them say to buy a couple of sizes bigger, so it will be possible to adjust the length and width. So I followed the suggestion, and they were right. It s quite narrow. Which is surprising, cos most of the winter boots are very wide. So my boots are size 8, I got those insoles size 10, and then cut them for my size. Which I shouldn t do inch to inch - after couple of days wearing they shrinked a little bit. So if you cut them, leave a 0,5 inch extra length just in case. Otherwise I m very satisfied of how they keep my feet warm and good. They are also thick, so it feels soft and nice when walking. I ve git another pair already. And I definitely will buy more when I ll need them. And also I d recommend them to others. 5They are definitely made for foul weather boots and wouldn't fit in regular shoesFabulous. Brand new pair of Sorel Carribou boots that say they are rated to -40f that do not keep feet warm at +35f. The cold comes through the sole and felt booty feeling cold inside to the touch of hand. Added these insoles (after trying others) and they have helped. They are definitely made for foul weather boots and wouldn't fit in regular shoes. I think they run small because they Men's 7 was a perfect fit in the Women's 7 boot. The standard Men's US equivalent to a Women's boot size 7 should (and always has been for all the various types of men's boots I have had to wear over the years) is a Men's 5.5. That is a big difference. Order up. 5Hot Feet ...Was looking at buying a pair of boots for those not quite "Sorel boot" snow storms, but definitely more than flurry weather. Finally came across these and felt that saving a hundred dollars or more was worth the cost. Sure glad that I did. Had a pair of light weight mid-ankle hiking boots. Fit great and keep my feet warm - the reflective felt inner soles really work. Tested so far with six inches of snow, icy conditions and 15 degrees out. 5These are premium quality and extremely warm insolesThese are premium quality and extremely warm insoles - just make sure to order 2 sizes up and trim as needed (sharp scissors work great). Trace your old insoles (or use a piece of cardboard to make a template) on the bottom (grey side) and cut leaving your line so that they are an eighth inch large all around because that's perfect so they will compress nicely into your boot. Size 13 insoles were the perfect length for my size 11 Kamik Warrior2 and Kamik Blackjack2 winter boots - I just needed to trim the sides about a 1/4 in. They are 5/16 in thick and compress to about 3/16 in with your body weight on them so make sure you have a little head room for your toes as these are most likely 1/8 in larger than standard insoles.The grey side in the picture is actually a layer of thinsulate and is the bottom (white side goes up). They come in a set of two - a left and a right - I Highly recommend these and love mine! :) 5keeps your feet warm! and only $10!i feel like people forget this is $10!! it gets the job done!!so i went traveling for 10 days to sweden, london, ireland and italy never occurred to me to buy snow boots but i bought these instead and put them in my size 13 shoes i also purchased the size 13 soles, which i had no issues fitting in and never once did i feel my feet cold... it even helps with the damp as well we walked 15 hours a day so they are worn down but still usable im currently using them for my in home slipper my feet get cold easy i prefer these than socks around the house but anyways, they did the job and got it done for $10! i will buy another pair for my job love these 5
