Excellent Product at a Great Price!This product is so good. It sticks even around the bend of your elbow or knee. It is Latex-Free, and plenty of protection on the pad itself. I like it because no extra tape needed, unless you want it.It also absorbs blood well, but takes any antibiotics you may wish to use. A nurse recommended this - I didn't even know about it! Very good bandage; intend to keep in the house all the time from now on. 5Shipped well, good priceNever used so this rating is just for the price/shipping speed/condition of it.I purchase this for my home made first aid bag. Probably decent for other uses but not what I was needing 1Allergic to the glue partI liked the size and the absorption of the pad material itself. But, the adhesive caused an allergic reaction. I have not used this product in over 1 week and I still have a huge red mark on my skin where the glue part is. My doctor confirmed I am suffering from an allergic reaction from this product (the exact same product they gave me in Urgent Care.) Clearly, I'm not saying everyone with have this issue, but I wanted to just put this out there. 2Medline is a Major Hospital Supplier and I recommend it highlyI worked in a hospital for 44 years and we used this exact product in very large quantities. It's made by Medline and is a top of the line sterile gauze. Medline is a Major Hospital Supplier and I recommend it highly. It stays securely on the skin without irritating it and comes off without tearing the skin. 5A great bandage to keep on handDoctor recommended this 4x4 bandage for covering/protecting an ulcer on bottom of husband's foot. It's easy to handle; adhesion is strong once place over the wound. I've already ordered a box of 2x2 size to keep in medicine drawer, as well as boxes for family members! 5Perfect for smaller areas and can be reinforced with a little tape on days when you may sweat moreMy husband ended up with a second degree burn on his back due to a heating pad. The area was fairly large, but as it healed the wound itself got smaller. The Wound Center used this when the burn area got smaller and said to order them from Amazon. He has a sensitivity to some of the tapes we used to adhere the regular gauze and this Bonded gauze worked without any sensitivity. He is a golfer and found this would not stay on for 18 holes and we did add additional tape on golf days. This product is far more convenient than gauze and tape. Well worth the additional cost and you don't get the chapped skin. 5Good Substitute for Mepilex (w/caveat)I had been using the Mepilex 6"x6" bandages with great results. However, they are a bit pricey (about $7 ea.). So, on a whim, I ordered these to see how they'd stack up. I find them to be a GREAT substitute! Especially for the price (about $1.20 ea) . They easily last the duration of my daily changes.Based on my personal observations and opinion, this is just as good as Mepilex except that Mepilex: 1. Absorbs more (better if your wound is draining); 2. Offers slightly better padding/cushioning; 3. Is more water resistant (they don't soak through as quick when showering). NOTE: You need to change either bandage after showing as they will be soaked through. 5NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR MEI realized, when I got the package, that "4 x 4" describes the whole dressing -- which is really a 2" x 2" dressing, with an 1" tape border on all 4 sides. I subsequently got a 6" x 6" dressing to cover the 4 x 4 pressure sore wound area. 3Won't stickThe adhesive let go almost immediately. After 30 minutes, we had to use some other tape to hold it on. 1
