All the chocolates fall to the bottomBought this for my 6 year old son and he was really excited about getting this calendar, because he had a similar Herscheys calendar last year which had been purchased at a Cracker Barrel restaurant. We were very disappointed in the quality and design of the Madelaine Chocolates Advent Calendar, because none of the chocolates stay in place. They pop loose from their spaces both during shipment, and when we set it up in our house. I wound up taking it apart twice and attempting to put the chocolates back in their correct spaces, but they just kept falling out. My son gave up using this by approximately Dec 10 and we just took the chocolates out and put them in a bowl. We will not buy this product again next year and hope this review helps you to not buy this one either. The Herscheys product we used last year worked great, and I should have stopped by Cracker Barrel to get another one.1Best advent calendar!This is the chocolate advent calendar I always purchase for family and friends. I m never disappointed!5Arrived on timeThis rating is for delivery and presentation of item for sale. Of course these are Advent gifts and first time buyer so quality and satisfaction will come after we begin the Advent season - so far so good!5A big hitGot this for my 10 year old daughter. She absolutely loves it. She loves the picture and said the chocolates are delicious!! Each day has a different shaped chocolate (ornaments, saints,presents, etc.) and a little saying. She can't wait to get home from school every day and see what she gets for that day! Will def buy again.5Wasn't too sure when I bought it (egg free for those with allergies), but the kids loved it!I bought this based on the reviews. It was great. There are different shapes -- Santa's/gifts, but not different every day -- and good sized. I have two boys, aged 7 yrs and 9 yrs. When they got the Santa's--one had an evil one and one had a good one . .they of course battled before they ate them. I bought the very expensive Star Wars advent last year but just didn't want to pony up the dough for it this year. I think it was overpriced! So, I purchased this. I asked the boys and they were happy with it. My younger son also has an egg allergy and I called the company . . no eggs used! Will order these again next year :)5Worst advent calendar we ve bought.My son hasn t complained about the taste (he s 7) but I ve seriously considered returning this if he hadn t already eaten a few days worth. When I received the product, there were a a few numbers that were already loose and almost open. The more my son handled the package other, numbers became loose and started opening. Also, all the chocolates fell to the bottom and I had to take the whole tray out to put them back. This is the worst advent calendar we ve ever had.3Would buy Again!These calendars are exactly the same as I remember them from years ago. Great quality and I usually buy them at a local store but didn t have time to stop in so I looked on Amazon and lo and behold the exact same ones delivered right to my door!5Received wrong item, with no option to returnInstead of receiving the chocolate advent calendar, I received a cheap, hanging organizer. There was no order info int he package at all, and the product is not eligible for a return through Amazon. Waste of money - buyer beware!1It s good.ok so we first bought a different Madelaine advent calendar and My 9 year old thought it was fun for a few days. Then she kept getting the plain square chocolates, no shapes or different types of chocolate etc so she was bored very fast and over it.I ended up buying a different Madelaine one (This one) that had shapes like ornaments and snowmen too etc. and she loved it. This new one didn t have quite as fun of things printed on each door but it worked. Wish they would combine the two and use the fun Christmas story words on the other one with the different shapes of chocolates that are in this one ... and I sort of wish they d change up the type of chocolates occasionally. Like maybe PB or crispy rice etc. Still works ok tho.4Adorable Count Down to ChristmasUsually I buy the advent calendar with the story but they are hard to find. This one is adorable, it had a saying behind each door and the chocolates/foil are in different shapes and colors. My granddaughter was excited with this5
