Delicious, excellent day/workout/hiking snack.Been surviving off of these and quest bars (chocolate chip cookie dough) for the last year as a 3rd year medical student. I always have 3 of these and 3 of the quest bars in my ruck daily, and sometimes will go through all of them in one day since there's not much time to eat. These last me a while, I don't feel woozy or food coma-y after eating them, and they just taste delicious. I buy them by 4/5-box-fuls at a time via subscribe and ship, which makes it at least a little bit cheaper (and they don't really get stale if I have a vacation and don't need to eat them).For optimal eating while others are talking/in a meeting: these are quick to get out of the wrapper (which is initially loud but quiets down), and once out of the wrapper it just depends on your ability to chew nuts quietly. Practice slow cow-chewing motions for quietest eating.5Take out your microscope if you want to find the pecansThe name description is fraudulent. There are now virtually no pecans in these bars. They are PEANUT bars, with some almonds and an occasional sliver of pecan in the odd bite, if you are lucky. Some bars have no detectable pecans whatsoever. They used to be lovely, not too sweet, nice maple-y flavor which went so nicely with the pecan. There were a few peanuts and almonds for contrast. I was patient, thinking I had gotten a bad batch, some unfortunate accident at the factory or something. Perhaps a squirrel infiltrated the plant and stole all the pecans. But no, the latest batch are the same, so I can only conclude they have changed the formula. They had better follow up and change the name, I do believe there is a law about label honesty that would apply here. Cancelling my auto-ship today.1Warning: may be staleNot sure what's going on. These are my favorite Kind bars. They are super tasty, but not too sugary. This month's batch arrived quite stale despite a sell by date of Jan 2019. Hopefully, this month's delivery will be better!1GLUTEN FREE and DELICIOUSI follow a strict hypoglycemia diet, so I need to have an appropriate balance of fat/protein every time I eat carbs. And I do need to eat carbs to avoid a blood sugar drop. I carry these bars with me everywhere. I have found them to be the best-tasting of the KIND bars. Also, it's healthy, which makes me feel good about my snack. And one thing I've found: People who eat healthy carry their own food. ... In all fairness, I'm allergic to chocolate so I had to find a KIND bar that didn't have chocolate. Perhaps the chocolate ones taste better. But I like this specific bar.5Perfectly Balanced, As All Things Should BeI was skeptical because I had tried so many less than wonderful flavors, and I was afraid the maple might be super cloyingly sweet and off-putting, but I was pleasantly surprised. The balance of salty and sweet is perfect, and the texture is just right. Get out of here with your PEE-cans! Not today, Satan!5Do not buy in bulkThis is my favorite Kind variety, so I purchased 2 boxes since they were at a good price - bad idea. They arrived April 14, 2019 and they expire May 20, 2019. I ate one immediately and it was pretty hard - not fresh. I ve purchased this exact kind in stores and know they should not be nearly as hard as these. I feel like Amazon should disclose that the expiration date is fast approaching and that is why they are on sale. I ve purchased other flavors through Amazon and have not had this issue.3Maple, pecans, salt and OOPS! PeanutsThese are good granola bars as far as it goes. However, I found too problems with them. 1. The less important one is the very high salt content. which, for me, was the dominant flavor when I took my first bite. 2. The front part of the wrapper says nothing about peanuts. kindsnacks.com 'confesses to it on the back of the wrapper but they should have placed this on the FRONT as well and, preferably in larger letters.I'm mildly allergic so I was okay. I even attributed the excess salt to my original 'illusion' that peanuts were an ingredient. People with a serious peanut allergy would have no such illusions.2Okay.I usually like these, but I think I must have gotten an older box. Every single one of them was rock hard and difficult to eat. I've purchase this flavor from the local store and did not have this problem. Probably will just stick with buying from the store so I can check the date before I purchase.3Delicious - nutty with just the right amount of sweet vs saltI'm not usually a "bar" kind of person, but someone gave me one for an emergency snack, and dang it, it's delicious. I myself don't really care for chocolate, thus most all other bars are "meh to no-thanks" for me... but I do like what they've put in these, they're nutty with just the right amount of sweet vs salt, with a good amount of protein and fiber, w/out a lot of sugar.5
