HALF PRICE, HALF QUALITYI thought I would give a different brand a try as the recent price of this product has skyrocketed. So, paying 1/2 of what the other cost, I got half the quality. As a nurse, wearing these as continuing blood clot protection, I can immediately notice the difference in putting these on. The overall fabric is sturdy but half as much as the main makers. I give them credit for the silicon beads but the fabric is thinner and even a bit on the coarse side, comparatively. Bit the bullet and just bought the other product and these will go in the trash instead of wash. From the moment I put them on I could tell there was a great reduction in felt pressure that I've become accustomed to, even from 6 month old other products. 1 Star for effort, 1 Star for the silicon beads....-3 Stars for wasting my money and time. 2comfortableI prefer the knee high compression socks but my doctor said suggested using thigh high some days. These are comfortable and long enough for me (5'10") 5Updated review.I have DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) condition in my left leg caused by an accident many years ago. For several months after the accident I was wearing thigh-high high-compression, stockings. Then I switched to knee-high, 15-20 mm, socks. Recently, my doctor suggested I go back to thigh high stockings. So I purchased size small, Jomi's stockings.These stockings are good quality, comfortable to wear and, fairly easy to put on. They fit very well at my ankle and the knee but they are way too short. They are supposed to be 20-30 mm and that's what it says on the box. However, they feel to me about the same as 15-20 mm socks I am wearing a lot. Beware of that if you are looking for high pressure compression garments.Jomi's specs, regarding stockings length, are very cryptic. The only place where is the length mentioned at all is on the box where it says: "Pantyhose and Thigh High length is 30" and above..."I measured the stocking actual length to be only 20". So when I put the stocking on, it's just about 5" inches above my knee. And I am not a tall man at all. I am 5'4". To see how the stocking hold up I went for a steady walk. The stocking is slowly creeping down and after about 3500 steps or so, slip down below the knee. The silicon beads at the top of the stocking are comfortable and doing their job but there is just not enough compression pressure to keep the stocking in place.These stockings are, at best, marginally helpful to wear in periods of physical inactivity or low activity. They would have been much more useful if their length would be what the manufacturer says it is.Update Nov 12, 2019I changed my mind since my original, quite unfavorable, review in February 2019. At least partially, it was manufacturer/seller fault as it was nagging me for a review so I wrote what I felt at the time. I used to wear thigh high stockings many years ago but not recently. For many years I was wearing knee high socks only. So these didn't feel right when I first put them on. With time I actually found the stockings very useful. I have ordered 2 more pairs since and now have a set of six pairs as I wear Jomi on my left leg and a cheap plain black sock on the right leg. 5Amazing supportFor all purposes these stockings are doing what they are supposed to do. My legs feel good and invigorated when I wear them. They are holding up well. Now that I am wearing them for a few months, I can say, they wash well with my delicates in a bag and still look and feel like new. My legs look like legs again not like tree trunks. 5it doesnt cover the toes, the photo is wrong.it shows a fully covered foot but nope, its not. it has a cutout for the toes. also, the material feels like crap. basically this is not what i expected, but im not returning it because i dont drive nor have a printer to pront a return label. i guess i will just throw them out, and thats a shame. amazon should always include return labels for such things. im not saying the product doesnt work, it appears to me it would work just fine. but the photo should show it correctly. id never have gotten it had the photo been accurate. (as to the material, i took a gamble and lost. i want softer stuff). 2A great pair of compression socks!Due to vascular issues in my legs, I need to wear thigh length compression socks. These socks fit great and are very comfortable to wear all day. I am really impressed with how they fit around my knees. No bunching up or pinching behind the knees. The compression is good and not too tight or too loose. These socks also stay put once in place. Overall, these are great socks at a good price. 5Fits great and wonderful compressionI purchased these socks because I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and as co-morbidity of it I have POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia). I have to wear compression socks to prevent the blood in my body from pooling in my feet and causing dizziness and fainting.These socks work wonderful and stay up! The compression is not weak and is definitely as advertised, unlike some stockings you buy online. The dots at the top keep the socks in place and I never have to adjust throughout the day. And as an added perk, the higher socks do much better than knee high compression socks (and also look trendy if you're young and chronically ill like me).Would definitely recommend and will be purchasing more soon. 5Comes up too highIt s hard to imagine that I d even be able to get a smaller size on. It was a war as it is, but then the top came up to the top of my thigh and as the morning wore on and they stretched and I pulled them up, higher so I had to roll them which really means they won t stay well. THEN they balled up in some places and cut off my circulation so my quads started hurting. I just took them off. I am hesitating to try a size smaller at these prices and I waited too long to return them so I may just go without. I d recommend the black. The sheer is old lady color. They are high quality and strong. 3Good for pregnancy, but def check measurements!I bought these because I'm 7 months pregnant and work on my feet for 9 hrs a day (not including housework). I started getting varicose veins on my upper calf and mid thigh, in addition to some lovely bright red, hot feet at the end of the day. I have previously worn compression thigh highs following vein treatment, but they were higher rated compression and a smaller size, so I opted for a new pair.I followed the measurement table and bought a size Lg. I found the instructions for putting them on very easy to follow. I followed the method shown and hand no problem putting them on at all. The band at the thigh was adequately tight, but does not pinch. I only took away 1 star because at 5'8 these do not stop where the advertisement shows. They sit snugly below my buttcheeks and give me a crazy looking bubble butt. Paired with a long shirt, it's no problem.They do work fantastically, and my legs are not longer swollen and tired at the very end of my day. 4If you're a Giraffe, these may hit you mid thigh as shown.These are awful. I definitely should have listened to the reviews that said they were too high. I've developed extreme swelling late in pregnancy to where I need something that goes above my knees because my socks just aren't enough anymore with having shin swelling. I'm 5'4" and about a size 12-14 in maternity jeans right now. I bought a large and they are too tight but WAY to long. They literally go all the way up to my crotch and we're so difficult to put on. I know what the tightness should feel like because I've been wearing compression socks for weeks. I can't go up in size for the tightness because I'd probably literally be tucking the tops into my crotch to stay put. Because of how high up they were and tight they were so uncomfortable to wear and at 38 weeks pregnant, comfort is important. I wore these for one day and I don't even want to attempt to wear them again because the hassle wasn't even worth it. I don't feel like it helped my swelling at all.Also, the toes are covered but are loose and not compressed, giving the opportunity for swelling to drop down into your toes.Will be looking to see if I can return them. 1
