Perfect!I've been looking for a green tea that doesn't have a bitter aftertaste ever since the one I loved was changed to include splenda. Itoen tea is delicious! I switched specifically to Japanese green tea for the anti-cancer properties after reading The Anti-Cancer Book. Japanese green tea has been documented in studies as being the best and this one definitely is! It has a very light flavor and I like it with nothing else in it.5Five StarsReal Authentic Japanese Green Tea5Not Bad, Not Great.This is a good value for authentic Japanese green tea with matcha, but nothing to rave about taste wise (not bad, but not great). Although quite a bit more expensive, I prefer Yamamotoyama pyramid bags (w/ matcha) which I can get here in the US, as the flavor is much better. That being said, this is good for every day usage, as I like to drink 1-2 cups a day of green tea for the health benefits, and I'd be spending like $35/month on the Yamamotoyama green tea (the normal Yamamotoyama bags are cheaper than the pyramids, but do not contain matcha).It takes about 2-3 weeks for this product to arrive unless you want to pay an insane amount of shipping, so I usually order a new batch when I am about 2/3 of the way through the bag.4The BESTWOW. This is truly excellent! From the looks of it, I'm guessing this is probably just a high grade sencha with some matcha powder, but in flavor it's approaching the vegetal goodness of higher-grade gyokuro. In color, the brew is about as green as the box it comes in. The bags themselves come in plastic/foil pouches and are little nylon pyramids that you swirl around in the cup. Brew at 175 F for 30 seconds or so for best results.I'm guessing they just don't sell this stuff in the USA (definitely not in any store near me)? Even the Ito-En green tea sold under the Kirkland label at Costco isn't as good as this stuff (similar, yes, but not the same).My suggestion to Ito-En (and all other Japanese tea houses) don't re-brand your Japanese teas. Just export the same stuff here that you sell in Japan. That's what we wants!5Great Classic.This stuff puts the typical teas in American supermarkets to shame! I wish they sold this stuff in most stores, because it's amazing! I tried it on a whim since I had something similar at a restaurant and I really enjoyed it. Not expensive and comes in a large quantity. If your new to the brand, these Japanese teas have a much stronger flavor. This one has a really nice, strong green color and green tea flavor.I typically enjoy this tea on it's own as a mid day pick-me-up. Love the flavor, definitely a classic, strong green tea.Great for overall health.I'd also recommend the Itoen Hojicha Green tea, if you want to change up the flavor. I m not going to comment on the taste as everyone will have a different opinion. Of course I enjoy the taste of this one. You can easily tell the quality of this is very good even by the bag, which feels like high quality. Even the shape of it promotes a spinning action when you dip the bag up and down. Just pay attention from whom you buy it as the ones from Japan may take longer to arrive. But, it s also how you can be assured it s Japanese right?5Definitely a notch above the Kirkland brand from ItoenThis tea is produced by the same supplier as Kirkland brand Matcha Green Tea Bags so I ordered it to do a side by side taste test. It s twice the in-store price of the Costco variety, so I wanted to ensure it was worth it. The first thing I noticed was that there is considerably more Macha dust which gave the tea a cloudier, greener appearance that you can notice in the photo. The Kirkland brand is on the left and is obviously lighter green. The Kirkland brand has a good flavor, but the Itoen Ryokucha is sweeter and more full bodied. Is is worth twice the price? If you love green tea, can afford it and have the patience to wait a month for delivery, I recommend you try it.5Japan Import Itoen is Absolutely Delicious!!!This green tea, imported and shipped from Japan, is the best I've had (for the price) so far. So far I've bought 10 boxes of 50 because I drink 6 cups of green tea a day on average. I love this tea bag. One bag makes 2-3 cups and, although there is no matcha dust included in the package, it tastes full-bodied, fresh and green.Be aware that your order will take approximately 3 weeks to arrive in the USA. Ahhh perfect. I ordered "Zuisen no Shiro" from Matcha and More online. It also comes from Japan. Both can take 2-3 weeks to arrive.5
