"Outperforms & Outlasts ALL Others...."Absolutely EVERY support brace you see advertised here (as well as others found online)...has actually been on MY BODY!! This one has just the right amount of material & closure/adjustment angles to ACTUALLY WORK as needed...as if they were the only one's to really R&D the product for performance & comfort. I have also found that this one works much better with the pads REMOVED, as they just seem to add more bulk to the front & ultimately make for a larger protrusion in front when worn for a period of moderate activity...if you've worn ANY device, then you already know it's inevitability. Another "tip" I can give to anyone contemplating this device is...un-hook the small understraps where they attach to the rear of the belt & re-attach them "CROSSED". This actually better centralizes the rearward pull at the bottom of the garment....which you will find is the REAL KEY to the success of the support. Personally I put on a pair of thin biker shorts or ladies support garment ( you didn't hear that from me....hehe), lay on my back & FULLY suppress ( with both the shorts & support on ), then position the support as low as possible in the front...pull the straps together in the middle, tuck them between your cheeks & pull the belt up as high & taught as possible in the rear.....voila!...your are now Superman!....but with girly underwear on....hmmm, did I say they're kinda cool? This thing really does the best job...please try it...for your own sanity. 5WomenFor women: I was unsure if this would work for women and questioned that the reccomended sizing was based on waist, considering that many women's hips are wider than their waist. Another woman reviewer said to base sizing on hips. I based my choice on hip size and it was way too big. After trying it on, I would say to measure about 4" below your belly button to be more accurate. Now that I have a better fit, I can say that I love this brace! I felt horrible before getting it. Now, I feel so much better. It goes on first thing in the morning and last thing off before bed. The elastic velcro straps are strong and don't pull loose. It is easy to remove to use the restroom (I wear it over underwear). 4Comfortable and workingExcellent brace, well made and made in the USA, double awesome.I read reviews and on size, thankfully i ordered next size up. I did measure my hips along with my 34 inch waist frame and regularly a medium size, i chose LARGE. Perfect snug fit and instantly both my inguinal hernias were pushed flat and most pain subsided. Comfortable to wear. I do plan to have my hernias surgically repaired, but in the meantime Underworks for me. I ordered model number 948I wore this today without underwear and or under my underwear so i can use a urinal. Perfect. 5Should change sizing chartBought this inguinal hernia support brace. The quality is good but the size is some what too tight. I am a 32 waist size and ordered the 33-36 size and still find it too tight. Would have gave it a 5 star rating if they were more specific in their sizing. 3Size mattersProbably a good product, but reading the user comments led me to order a size just a little too large to do me much good. So, it does not apply enough pressure at exactly the right spot to hold the hernia in. 4Runs very small.Runs at lease one size small. I have a 33" waist, ordered Large (37-40) and it was still a bit tight. Luckily my wife was able to extend the velcro tabs by sewing on additional velcro. Now it is fairly comfortable, and offers some support during activities. 3Extremly comfortable.I read all about the sizing issues and ordered the 2x. I usually wear a 40 inch waist pant give or take.This is all about your hips for correct fit.My hernia is on the left side and I use the right pad doubled up with the left one and it works great. It was ok with the single pad but using two felt more secure.The pads cover a larger area so you don't have to worry if it is covering the hernia.Wear this all day next to my skin with no chafing. I would recommend this to anyone. 5The best of all the braces, at least for my herniaI have tried 5 different braces, trusses and belts, plus one called a hernia brief since you wear it in lieu of underwear. None have provided the level of support and comfort to wear it all day long as this one has given me. The design of the belt (elastic fabric) as well as the foam pads (flat and quite large), plus the adjustability of the tension on the two under the groin straps, works particularly well for the size and location of my inguinal hernia. Of course, YMMV. One caveat: the description of the product with respect to sizes is wrong. The numbers shown (e.g. 28-32" for Small and 33-36" for Medium) are not for waist size, they are for your hips size at the widest point. My waist size is 31" and the Medium that I ordered, although it fits me, is quite tight. Measure your hips and then match that number with the numbers in the description of sizes. 5Great buy!!!I know how important reviews are. My husband needed a inguinal hernia belt because surgery wasn't going to happen for a couple of months and he was in pain every time that lump starts to pop out. Which one to choose ???? I started reading reviews and decided to buy this one. His hernia is on the right side, but for the same price I orded the double sided belt. It won't hurt, right ? and a little bit more presure, I said to myself. It' great, he can keepmup with his activities almost like normal. I orded a second belt because he likes to swim and he needs a dry one.Do not put it in the dryer, hang and let it dry.Hope this info. helps 5Great deviceMy husband ordered this and struggled with sizing - he is usually a L with most items but decided to get an XL based on the feedback. He says that he can get it to the tightest setting, but is most comfortable in the middle so he thinks this was right. There is only about 3" of give from the tightest to loosest setting. He said he feels a lot better wearing it and it has made him a lot better to be around, so that should get an extra star! 5
