Recently had the worst flare up I have had in yearsHave had IBS for over 30 years. Recently had the worst flare up I have had in years, had to start on some prescription medication to help and then saw this product with good reviews and ordered it. Have been using for about 2 1/2 wks with wonderful results. Have weaned off the prescription meds and just using this primarily w/ my probiotic. Highly recommend that you give this a try if you suffer from IBS. Wonderful that it helps stabilize the bowel whether you are experiencing IBS-D or IBS-C. 5Helping already, eight days into this fiber. | IBS is 98% controlled a month later.Good product so far. I've noticed that my IBS symptoms have reduced in the eight days I've been using this, but I'm still trying to find out how much I need to be taking on a daily basis to, hopefully, one day be rid of my symptoms.As other reviewers have stated there's no actual flavor to this powder. I did notice that the liquid is slightly more gel-like with the fiber mixed in. I didn't like noticing that, so to combat it I am mixing it in with Gatorade so I notice the flavor more than anything else.I did find that I had difficulty getting the fiber to dissolve into liquid, even at room temperature. The best way I have found so far is to grab glass jars, I am using small (2.5 oz) baby food jars but I'm still at the two teaspoons per dose stage if you're taking a tablespoon or more you might want the four oz jars. Place your room temperature liquid of choice in the jar first, I fill the jar halfway, then add the powder. If you have extra room then add more liquid leaving a small air gap to shake the jar later if you notice any lumps still hanging around. I mix mine at least three hours in advance leaving no question that it will be fully dissolved, and I make enough for two days at a time (so four jars for AM/PM.)-- Update 9/16/17 --I've been taking this for a month now and my IBS is about 98% under control, I still have my off days, but this stuff is miraculous.In my original post I used baby food jars to put my fiber in. I'd recommend skipping that and going straight to the Starbucks Frappuccino style of bottle. I spent $4 buying tiny baby food jars when I ended up later spending $7 buying these. I still mix them the same way, fill your jar half full of liquid then add your powder. Depending on how much Tummy Fiber you're taking you'll want to put a chopstick in there and stir to dissipate the blob of powder, then top it off with liquid. Since I'm making enough to last me a full day I go the extra step and after it's capped I shake the daylights out of it and leave it out on the counter for at least 12 hours, the fiber most likely dissolved much earlier but I don't typically pay attention since I don't need it just yet. Once it's dissolved I'll put my drink into the fridge until I'm ready for it. I will either put it on my desk and sip it throughout the day, but more normally a take a couple of swigs early morning, mid-afternoon, and late evening.Don't forget to re-shake it when you go to drink it. I'll take a picture later, but the fiber will sit towards the bottom of the bottle. 4best way to dissolve powderI've found the best way to mix the powder into any liquid, use a blender ball or shaker ball. I like those made by Bonison that is made of plastic rather than stainless steel. Add the powder into any container that has a tight-fitting lid and an opening at least two inches in diameter, then add the liquid and finally add the ball. Close the lid tightly and shake for a few minutes. Look into the bottle to see if any of the powder isn't dissolved. If so, shake some more. It really works well. 5Also good for reducing cholesterol levelsI don't have problems with IBS, but I do have problems with cholesterol. Since it is well known that acacia is 100% soluble fiber and soluble fiber reduces LDL cholesterol, this is the product you need to bring down your cholesterol levels. Much better than taking those nasty statins. 5Good Food for you gut bugs!I purchased this after reading about probiotics and the importance of consuming high fiber foods in order to help keep your gut bugs well fed. It was very easy to incorporate the Acacia fiber into my smoothies and it blends well into a glass of kefir also. I will definitely purchase this again! 5Works for me. Hopefully it will also work for youYou believe all of the good reviews. I have been suffering with IBS for a few years now and the only thing that helps is fiber. However, many fibers feel like sandpaper to me. This brand is simply amazing. It's extremely fine and mixes almost instantly and tap water. It has very little taste so it's easy to swallow. Best of all this relieves my symptoms. Well worth the price. If you have IBS I recommend trying this to see if it helps you too. 5IBS Sufferers...this is a must!This product has saved my stomach for years! I take approximately 1 tablespoon before breakfast and dinner. I suffer from bloating, gas, and constipation on a regular basis. This fiber benefits those with diarrhea or constipation. It is organic has no gluten, FODMAPS, additives, fillers, or flavors. It is also not genetically modified. This is important for me because I am on a low inflammation diet. The best thing is that it mixes in my coffee, oatmeal, applesauce, smoothies, or tea very easily. It does not thicken or get gloppy if you mix it immediately. My best bet has been in oatmeal and applesauce. I have used it in my baking to amp up the fiber. The other positive is that this is a prebiotic which means it nourishes the growth of good bacteria. In the morning, take this daily and then a high quality probiotic. I have bought this for over 4 years and highly recommend! 5Great for Constipation & Slow Moving BowelsI originally bought this product as a prebiotic to aid in my recovery from irritable bowel and leaky gut via feeding my akkermansia muciniphila. It helped with my own gut issues, so I tried giving some to my 10-year old niece who suffers from chronic constipation.My niece was staying with us for the weekend and according to her parents, had a bowel movement #2 in three days. Her dad was about to give her a suppository, which normally works for her. I convinced him to let me try this acacia fiber first.To avoid any bad reaction, I only gave her one teaspoon the first day. That morning, I mixed it in with a full cup of hot chocolate and a teaspoon of agave nectar to make it taste better. She had a very small bowel movement that night. So, the next morning, I bumped her up to 2 teaspoons in her coco. OMG, that opened the flood gates! After she went home, all the poop in her intestinal tract came out. I know this sounds gross, but think 6 foot snake. And it was solid, smooth and not watery. So, it didn't seem to expel a lot of her good gut bacteria, which was a primary concern of mine.Afterwards, I got calls from her parents asking, "What did you give her? Where can I buy it?" 5Perfect for Constipation!I have severe IBS-C. I have tried many different things natural and prescriptions but nothing helped to ease it for any long term period. So I reasearched and found this and checked with my GI doctor and he approved. It has been almost 2 years now and I haven't had to suffer from IBS-C or IBS-D. I also stopped bloating, feeling full and distended all the time. 5LIFE CHANGING FOR IBS C!!!!!I have struggled with IBS C for over 5 years . And I have tried EVERYTHING to get relief ! A tip that I did learn : I immediately started at 1 tablespoon twice a day and I suffered from cramps and bloat . So I went back to the directions and took 1/2 teaspoon twice a day and it worked . I'm up to 1 teaspoon twice a day now and am having no problems with bloat or gas .
