Decent snackThe thing I like best about this protein bar is that it's organic. The one thing I really hated about hunting for protein bars is that almost all of them have artificial sweeteners or other bad stuff - if you're trying to eat health food, at least get something better for you. The macronutrients are decent, but since this is made from mainly peanuts, it's fairly high in calories so it's probably better as part of a meal replacement for dieters or a protein supplement for vegans. The taste is really weird to me.. I have to drink an entire cup of water and eat it slowly. However, this gets four stars for me for being organic and fairly healthy.4Really nice protein bar that tastes more like a chewy compact ...These are a new product that I first tried about 2 months ago at a half marathon health & fitness expo.. they were yummy!! 13 grams of protein packed in all that flavor! I will definitely be ordering these again. Really nice protein bar that tastes more like a chewy compact cookie than a heath bar... I have to pace myself! Luckily, one bar really does fill me up, which is a good thing, because otherwise the box wouldn't last us as long as it did! my body building hubby also loves these. When you compare this particular bar's nutrition to the other bars, it is one of the highest for protein (12g) and calories (290), and all the different flavors have about 10-12g fat (this one has 11g) but fortunately it is healthy nut-based fat. This peanut butter chocolate bar is the tastiest of them all in my opinion, lovely smooth texture with a nice chew.These bars surprisingly are addicting and it's hard for me to stick with just one. I will say that I actually ate like 4 of these in one hour and I did not get an upset stomach which surprised me. I think it must have to do with the organic/gluten free ingredients. The only drawback is I wish they either had more protein (maybe 15g) or less fat (less than 10g). Still excellent product and I expect to buy more.5Beware of Moldy barsPurchased variety pack in November 2016. Berry bars had a winey taste and odor. Coconut bars were moldy weeks after purchase (although expiration date stated late Jan 2017). According to Gomacro there are no known issues with this lot despite others experiencing the same issue. Beware of expiration date when purchasing as the bars may be end of life..also check bars for odor/mold before consuming!1Great taste, healthy quality ingredientsGreat tasting and satisfies hunger for breakfast or snack. Cheery flavor is phenomenal. Granola is also also good, and peanut butter is also good, but third favorite flavor in the pack. I've also tried the box with all of the flavors, and I would say they picked the top three flavors to include in this variety pack.5If you love carob, you should love these.I took a chance and bought these because they are carob. I grew up with a severe chocolate allergy, and although I outgrew the allergy carob is still my original comfort food from childhood. Unfortunately, I now have Celiac Disease and I've had a hard time finding carob products that aren't manufactured in a way to have a high risk of gluten contamination (sweetened carob is usually made with barley malt, and unsweetened carob is generally made on the same equipment with the sweetened stuff). So when I saw these on Amazon, and saw that they were certified Gluten Free, I just had to have them.They don't disappoint. But let's be honest. If you don't like carob, you aren't going to like it. They do NOT taste like chocolate. Carob sometimes can be made to taste more like chocolate, but that is not the case here. They taste like carob. The texture is kind of soft and a little sticky, similar to what you might expect from something made out of dates maybe. It's not a crunch sort of a bar at all.It's worth noting that my 3 year old daughter took one bite, handed it back to me, and then asked to spit out what was already in her mouth. Not everyone is going to love this bar. But I'm extremely pleased with it.My only complaint is nutritional: it's a little high in sugar content (first ingredient is rice syrup). That just means I have to exercise a little restraint.5Gooey crunchy goodnessThese are gooey, crunch, and smooth all at the same time. I have tried several of their other flavors and cannot stand the taste, but these are divine. I buy them by the case and use them as meal replacements in a pinch.5
