Nice detailI used these on a naked 3-layer birthday cake. Expedient delivery. It was nice that there are various sizes. I used them with chocolate icing and the colors and details still showed very nicely. Nice weight of each butterfly... they did not dissolve and were on the cake 3 hrs. They are edible, but seem to be made of rice paper or something that tastes like communion wafers; therefore if one is expecting sweetness or flavor, this isn t it (ergo 4 instead of 5 stars). Lots of compliments on my cake. Plenty left for another cake. Very pleased. Will reorder.5This look great and easy to useThis look great and easy to use, they also came very well packaged, so all were completely intact. They don't taste like much (rice paper), but everyone thought that they looked beautiful. I recommend bending them a little in the middle so they look more lifelike, and it's somewhat better to put them on the day you want to present them, however them look pretty good even after several days of sitting on frosting. My one complaint is that the colors actually included were largely orange and brown, with less of the brighter colors like pink, purple and blue.4Beautiful!These are a huge hit at my daughter's birthday party!! They do get soggy quickly, so put them on right before serving the cake. I found that putting them on toothpicks helped. Get the back one a tiny bit damp (just a droplet of water) then lay a toothpick on it, and then stick another butterfly on top, so you have a double sided butterfly with a toothpick down the center. Much easier to use, stops the butterflies from getting soggy and it makes it look like they are floating above the cake.3Not really edible...Not sure what they mean by edible but this is not something you actually want to eat. I tried it before I told the kids they could eat it. Felt like i was chewing on cardboard and couldn t really swallow it. They came in a small plastic bag and are flat, but it only takes a couple seconds to bend them and make them look more natural. When it says edible, don't expect it to be tasty. They feel and taste a lot like paper, and reminded me a bit of bland church wafers. So, if you're ordering them for the purpose of wanting them to taste good, this isn't for you, but if it's just for decorating they're great. They're very light so they stick right into the frosting and stay put. They're big enough that the single pack could definitely be used for multiple cakes.5
