Not as picturedI was greatly disappointed in this product. This brand of mix has multiple different tasting mixes all listed under the same title. The difference being in what is pictured on the front. I specifically ordered this because the pictured item has the tortilla chip on the front. What I received was the mix with the avocado on the front. Totally different taste. Not happy receiving a different product than what was pictured.1MY BEST CHILI SEASONINGS FOR DECADESI've used French's Chili-O as my only chili mix for decades. I no longer can find it at any grocery stores, so I order it by the case. My now-adult daughters and a friend also only use Chili-O when they make chili. It is THE perfect comfort seasonings to create my perfect bowl of chili. I NEVER use kidney beans, as per directions on package (to firm a bean), always pinto or Anasazi beans, Navy or Great Northern will also do if you can't find pinto; and I add fresh chopped onion and abundant home-grown sweet peppers (colored Bell peppers or banana peppers) chopped, some grated carrot for color and more vitamins, and diced good-quality large can of tomatoes. I make a pot of this, with 2 or even 3 packs of Chili-O and at least twice the tomatoes and beans called for per package of mix. YUM. I freeze plastic containers in single meal sizes for future cold or rainy day meals. If you are into RVing, they're great in these frozen batches to stock in the RV's freezer.5Wins the chili cook-offLove this stuff, that s French s for still making it and thanks Amazon for carrying it. I usually make more than 1 pound of ground beef, usually 2 pounds and 1/2 ground turkey, so I use 2 packages of Chili-O and 3 ea. of 14.5 oz cans of diced tomatoes and chili beans. Of course I add onion & celery, salt & pepper and some of Emeril's original Essence seasoning too. I put the chili over rice and top with sharp cheddar cheese. I always get rave reviews when I make this. Wouldn't think of trying to get all the seasoning right, so easy to open a package of Chili-0 seasonings and it's ready in no time at all!5Absolutely the best.I don't know how long I have been using this product, back into the '80s at least. I made it in 5 gallon batches for the Boy Scouts, and the recipe is all over Ohio. I add sausage, onions, bay leaves, beans, diced tomatoes, cayenne pepper, the amount depending on who it is made for. Probably some other stuff, but whatever you like. Now most of it is for home use, I can it in quart jars. Talk about convenience. I am really thankful for Chili-O Seasoning.5
