Flax seed oil capsulesI won't know if it is helping with the cholesterol until I have another blood test in February. I am sure that it is not hurting, though. 4Works great for lowering ones LDL and Triglycerides!My husbands work has these Wellness Checks twice a year, where they take your vitals, prick your finger, weigh you, etc and if you fit within their ranges, you can get discounts on health insurance. Well, my levels were checking out good, due to my vegan diet; however, my LDL and triglycerides levels were not ideal. Not wanting to take any of the fish oils for ethical reasons, I decided to try these, based on the reviews. I took 1 twice a day and while they don't taste that great, they aren't that bad either. They are doable. And while I didn't notice any discernible improvements or energy, when I went back for my 6 month check-up, my LDL and triglycerides were on the good side of normal, for once! My Dr seemed skeptical when I told him what I had been using, but I have already determined that most of my Dr are not as up-to-date when it comes to nutrition or natural supplements. If they can't prescribe it, its probably not worth the money. I beg to defer. 5Flax Seed Oil for Eye HealthAt the recommendation of my eye doctor, flax seed oil is beneficial to eye health as-well-as other body benefits. He recommended starting with one pill a day with food for the first week. This give your body a chance to adjust. From the second week forward, the doctor advised to take one pill in the morning with breakfast and one pill with the evening meal. He suggested flax seed oil along with Ocuvites 2 times daily for eye health. 4Ok for priceVegetarian like so many who try these, I bet.... not so much a fishy smell that you burp up, but a smelly uncomfortablefeeling nonetheless.I wouldn't recommend these except if you need the cheapest omegas as a vegetarian and don't mind the discomfort/smell. 3I purchased these for myself and my boyfriend with great results. When purchased in a bottle, it normally must be refrigerated and goes bad in a few weeks, but these pills take away the hassle by packaging the oil in vegan cellulose capsules. A two-capsule serving contains 535mg of alpha linolenic acid (omega-3), which at the current price is $0.16/serving. I have read widely varying estimates of the RDA for omega-3 fatty acids (including a study that suggests that omega-3s do not actually reduce the risk of heart problems, ), so I would assume 535mg/day is enough. 5They are easy to swallowMy eldest has ADHD and ODD and after quite a bit of research found that Omega-3 is essential for restoring brain function. I can say that we have seen improvement in behavior after about a month of use. They are easy to swallow, even for a 7 year old, which makes things easy. Love the Deva products and will buy nothing else. 5Great Product at a Great Price!I love this product! The product was received quickly and lived up to my expectations. My hair and skin have completely changed since I started this product. I also added zinc and b12 sublingual since going vegan.
