Excellent knee brace!I have tried quite a few non-prescription knee braces with only marginal help. My best help has come from a sleeve-type brace that is way too small for me so it's really tight but quite uncomfortable. I recently developed a bulging disc that has rendered my leg numb and prickly through my calf and foot so I could no longer tolerate the sleeve. This dual action brace is WONDERFUL!!!! It provides amazing support to the knee while leaving the calf free. It has done the best job of preventing or reducing knee pain for me while I'm walking and hiking! It's super easy to put on and adjust, it's easy to toss in my purse or fanny pack, easy to clean and just all around very helpful. After trying it on some walks and hikes with my really bad knee, I ordered another one for my other knee. It's not as bad and I want to keep it that way. I highly recommend this brace. 5Hikers with knee issues READ THIS!!!!Love this Knee Strap!! If you hike and have pain on the side of your knee going downhill, then this is for you. I have had a few hiking trips in the past that had some rough downhill stretches and by the end of the trip I could hardly walk. After trying several other knee braces, with no relief, I started doing some research and ran across this jewel. I can not believe how much of a difference this has made. I just completed the Virginia Triple Crown which was a 55 mile hike with very rough downhills and had almost no pain in my knee, even after a 19.5 mile day. I can not recommend this enough!! 5If your measurement is right at 16 inch I wound recommend you choose the large size(16-18 inches)One tip for you guys:If your measurement is right at 16 inch I wound recommend you choose the large size(16-18 inches). I bought both the medium and large ones, just wanna make sure I will get the right size. The large one is better than the medium one, because1. the sponge stuff inside the knee brace wound stay in the middle which is more balanced will provide better protection for your knee, 3/4 of the sponge stuff will be on the left side for the medium one.2. For the medium one, the areas in the attached picture will not be so comfortable because you will feel knee brace rubbing your skin.But the downside will be that the stripe of the large one is a little bit long for 16'', you should expect a small part of the stripe hanging on the left side of the knee brace, for the medium one you will not have this problem. 5Go 1 Size Larger For Medium-Build MenI measured the center of my knee using a fabric tape meaurer exactly as instructed to do on the Cho-Pat website. My measurements put me exactly at the mid-point for a medium size. After receiving the medium it was unwearable due to so much Velcro being exposed, even when cinched so tight it restricted bloodflow, that is stuck to my long pants or shorts legs. Fortunately Amazon replaced the product for a large, which fits much better without the exposed Velcro. It tends to have the opposite problem but remains functional. They need half-sizes and different sizes for different builds. I am a fit, medium-build male. 3BEST SUPPORT THERE IS!!!I have to say that after my Orthopaedist failed to address my issues of weakness and instability in my knee after arthroscopic surgery and months wasted with unsuccessful injections, just 1 day of using this wonderful support provided noticeable relief. It is a God-send!!!. After only 1 week, I am able to finally get up and down from sitting without struggle and intense pain!! I am finally able to walk with normal posture and be on my feet for much longer. I suffered unnecessarily for 6 months... don't wait another minute. After trying those complicated and grossly overpriced braces from the Doctor, this little miracle has truly put me on the path to recovery. I ordered one and quickly ordered another to support my other knee as it was starting to be very painful from compensating for the injured knee. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!!!! I am a large man and ordered the large size as they recommended if you are between sizes to get the smaller one. They are right. I also ordered the X-Large after trying the Large a few days later but the smaller size provides better support. I have now bought a 2nd large size so I wear them both equally. I have never recommended a product before but I know how much I have suffered and want anyone who is looking for knee support that this is an EXCELLENT Product-- well constructed and easy to use. 5You wont regret buying and usingOn 12/18/17 i had a full right replacement, i have issues with this knee for about 11 yrs i had micro surgery back in 2009 torn maniscus and arthuritis. When they went in they discovered a few torn tenions and bone on bone marrow. Doc wanted me to hold off as long as possible for the total knee, In nov of 2017 i tore my left knee which then i decided i cant hold anymore. In a matter of weeks my left knee was detoriating fast so i had the right knee done best thing i did. Left knee still getting worse i went and had micro surgery done on the left 2.28.18 xrays showed some where and arthuritis and a badly torm maniscus mri showed same. Well when they got in it. It was worse them the pics showed bone on bone. Having issues walking and doing stairs. I wrapped legs with ace bandage. It helped dramatically but at the end of work legs were swallon. Looked like playdo squishing out. Lol so i decided to look for a brace which would do same as the bandage but let things move and breath.. these braces are amazing. I am wearing a copperfit on the left under brace.i just purchased knee pads cus i cant yet kneel on them. Im 53 yrs old and i am the only maintaince man for a 150 site mobile home park so getting under homes is a must. And yes im stubborn bullhead and hate seating still 5Buyer Beware!Buyer beware! I did not receive an actual Cho-Pat knee brace, but a similar looking brace that does not fit properly and doesn't provide any support. My doctor directed me to purchase this specific product to aid in recovery from tendonitis in my knee. I compared the brace I received to a sample my doctor had in his office. They look somewhat similar, but are not the same! The brace I have has thinner straps and is lighter weight. And, despite the Cho-Pat name on the strap, there is no logo as is present on the one my doctor has. The photo in the product listing led me to believe I was ordering an authentic Cho-Pat brace, but that is not what I received. 1Knee pain? You will not be disappointed with thisSimply, makes my knee feel much better!!My Dr recommended this brace for me. I have some Bone on Bone, arthritis and it was injured when skipped steps going down subway stairs, jamming tib/fib into my knee. This put pressure just above and below the knee cap. Relief is immediate. About 85% relief.Measure over and under at your knee cap, any question or in between sizes, order down (it runs a little large). Two Velcro straps and they are long. I bought two.Do not wear when sitting on a plane, when you are sleeping but helps even my chubby leg/thigh/KNEE when walking, exercising and in recliner. 5the straps on the cho pat knee strap are shorter than expected.I bought the chop pat knee strap a few years ago and it works. It keeps my knee stabilized while I play tennis. So I bought a new one - same size Large. I measured my knee and it is same as before. But when the new one arrived, instead of one strap covering the velcro side completely for a secure fit, the strap only went about half way across the other. I suggest that customers may wish to consider going one size up for a securer fit. I may try that. 2STARTED JUMPING UP AND DOWN IN JOY!My wife ordered this for herself. She has been suffering from illial band pain and has been desperate for a quick fix. This knee strap did the trick! She put the strap around her knee immediately after opening the package and STARTED JUMPING UP AND DOWN IN JOY! She says the pain was relieved immediately. yes, my wife is weird but that's why we are married! She wore it all afternoon and evening with a big smile on her face as she was pain free.but then she took it off...She had become so used to the support provided, that she had become dependent on it. When she took it off, she felt unsteady and weak.She fully intends to wear it all day at work today and the remainder of the week.
