Favorite brand of flavored decaf!I was a die hard "death before decaf" coffee drinker and loved flavored coffees, tried all the ones I could get my hands on! Then panic disorder and OCD hit me and hit me hard... now its strictly decaf. Finding good flavored decaf in other than french vanilla or hazelnut in the stores is impossible. These are by far the best flavored decafs! Now its "death unless decaf" 5THESE ARE NOT DECAFAll Christopher Bean Flavored Coffees on Amazon are listed incorrectly as Decaf but none of them are. U can check the Christoper Bean website to see they do not make decaf versions of the flavors. I found out the hard way that included a trip to the ER. Read the packaging. None say decaf.1The best flavor & the worst bags!!This is my favorite flavor out of all the flavors I drink I just wish it was cheaper, It's too much for it not even being a pound, I pay less then this for a whole pound elsewhere. The bag leaves a lot to be desired, the extra small opening is on the side of the bag, not on top like other bags, this bag is very difficult to get a scoop in & out of which is very very frustrating, I have to Jimmy my scoop out to get it out. But for the coffee itself, it's delish! It taste like your drinking a butter cookie, yum yum yum.Just change the price & bag and they'd be perfect. They'd sure sell more to me.3Good flavored but very lightly roastedThese coffee have a great flavor but I find I need to use a bit more coffee than I traditionally do to obtain the same strength. I don't like my coffee strong, but in having to use more coffee to get the same level of strength I get in grocery store coffee this turns out to make these coffees most expensive and they are already pricey in my opinion. A nice alternative to one or no selections of flavored decaf at your local store in any case. If you like your coffee strong you're going to use quite a bit to get the taste you're looking for.4Addicitve even without the caffeineHoly moley, is this coffee ever good. I rarely go for decaffeinated coffee as often it just doesn't taste as good, but this from Christopher Bean is an exception. Actually, this is some of the freshest bagged coffee I have ever purchased. Usually when I pick up pre-ground, bagged coffee the grounds are dry. These grounds still had sheen from the natural oils in coffee. The taste is so good that you don't need any cream or sugar, and there is no bitter aftertaste. This vanilla nut butter cookie flavor is really flavorful and goes well with breakfast or dessert. I want to pick up the 'leaded' version of this coffee so I have it for an afternoon pick-me-up.5Some flavors great, others not so much.It won't let me do separate reviews so...Chocolate Donut and Hazelnut-The shipping process was a little messy, the box had coffee dumped out in it and the bag was then covered in it. But the coffee tastes great and I felt like the price was great compared to the K cups I usually buy. Had a cup this morning :)2nd Order Caramel Macchiato-doesn't really have any flavor which is very disappointing since it cost more than the 2 original purchases I made. I will still drink it because coffee is coffee but I won't buy it again.3Received package that was 7 months past the "Best By" dateReceived the package on 2/10/17 and noticed that the coffee had a " best by" date of 6/20/16! I was curious to see if the flavor was close to the coffee by the same name that I had enjoyed at a QuickCheck, so I decided to open it and give it a taste. Very happy to find the same flavor. Just surprised to receive a package that was past it's date without that being notated in the for sale comments and at full price...5Great coffeeThis coffee is really good, and it's difficult to find good flavored decaf. The coffee I received said decaf on the bag, which is exactly what I ordered. The coffee isn't bitter at all and the flavor is excellent without being overpowering. Best coffee I've had in a long time. I purchase coffee on subscribe & save now, but the flavor of this coffee is 100 x better than what I've been buying. I love the taste of this. I've kept this to drink in the late afternoon, but after having this the coffee, the coffee I drink in the morning kinda sucks.5Four-and-a-half starsOne of the frustrations I've encountered, as someone who likes flavored coffee, is the simple lack of decaffeinated flavored coffee. There's no lack of caffeinated flavored coffees. But as far as "big," reputable companies go, it seems to be either Gevalia or nothing. As this qualified for Amazon Prime shipping, I decided to give this a try. I'm glad I did.The flavor of this coffee is right on-- it's not cloying, flat, or "artificial." The added flavor on both the grounds and the brewed coffee is full and true. In other words, it not only smells good, but the flavor comes through into the brewed coffee itself; this coffee truly does taste like a combination of a chocolate donut and coffee.The only negative I found was that the coffee had a slightly out-of-place, bitter aftertaste, especially noticeable after the coffee starts cooling. Also, as a a matter of preference, I would have liked the coffee to brew stronger and/or come ground a little finer.Would order again.4Disappointment.Disappointed in this one. I just recently switched to decaf for health reasons. It is hard to find a good flavored decaf which I like after dinner. I had good success with my Caramel Butter Crunch by Christopher Bean so tried this. Can't really recommend it. It is bland and rather "tasteless" and the chocolate and raspberry flavor are so subtle as to be basically invisible. If I strengthen the coffee it becomes bitter and undrinkable. Overall, at this price point I definitely wouldn't recommend it.2
