A good product, just wish there wasn't the "fragrance"I have been using this on my boys for years. I do like it for a lot of reasons.It is made almost entirely of natural ingredients (I won't put anything unsafe on my boys)It has a pleasant scentIt is naturally tear-free (a must for my kids)It makes wonderful bubbles and can double as a bubble bath potionIt cleans well, leaves their skin soft, and isn't dryingIt rinses off easily and out of hair easilyMy boys smell really nice after their bathI would have given it a 5 stars, but...The reason for the nice scent is "fragrance." I have seen other Burt's Bees Baby Products that specify if the fragrance comes from natural-plant based ingredients. This one doesn't. "Fragrance" is listed in the Environmental Working Groups's website as a toxin. If it is just listed as "fragrance," it usually means it is synthetic.It isn't 100% plant-based toxin-free ingredients. If it was, I would have definitely given it a 5 star rating.However, it is a good quality product, and I still feel okay using it on my sons. It is just that nowadays, you can find products that are made with 100% plant-based ingredients and perform just as well, or better, than this one. I am going to be switching to another product that smells even better, but the scent comes from essential oils that are 100% natural. That being said, I have used this for years, and I don't regret it one bit!4It's really tear-freeI have been using Burt s Bees Baby shampoo & wash for over 4 years since my first daughter was born. I have 2 daughters now (they are 4 and 2 years old) and they both are using the same shampoo and wash. I haven t seen any allergic reaction from them from using Burt s Bees so far. The shampoo is tear free. There were a lot of time my daughters had their hands moving around when I was washing their hair and the form went into their eyes but they didn t have much complaint.I chose Burt s Bees because it states 99.9% natural ingredients. The only drawback is the shampoo & wash does not have enough lotion and conditioner. As my daughter grow up with longer and thicker hair, it seems the shampoo is not powerful enough to keep the hair smooth. And for the skin also, it s a little be dry in the winter season.4Gave Child a RashI was told not to purchase this product, because a friend's child had an allergic reaction to it. However, I saw good reviews on the product, so I figured I'd give it a try. I should have listened to my friend. After using this soap for the first time, the very next day my son had a rash on his body where it was used. I used a different soap on his head & there is no rash there. Therefore, he only has a rash where the Burt's Bees was used. With that being said, I'll be throwing this away because I'm unable to use it during bathtime.1Great scent. Molds outside the fridge.Love the scent. Have used for 3.5 years. Gentle on the eyes. The problem we have with this Shampoo is it molds (turns black) if we don't keep it in the fridge. Which is super annoying to have your kids in the bath and realize it is still in the fridge... and to have one more thing to put away after bath. The scent is worth it to us, though. This shampoo accents my love-hate relationship with Burt's Bees (watch the documentary).4Gentle on baby's skin and really, truly tear-freeWe have a lot of Burt's Bees products in the house. Lotion, bubble bath, lip balm, etc. We decided to try this as well. To be honest, I like using Johnson's better, but I'm swayed by all the "Formaldehyde" talk. I like that this product is safe and relatively natural. As for using it, it has its upsides and its downsides:Pros:Tear-free formula really is tear free. Baby has never complained about me getting it in her eyes. It's gentle on all of baby's sensitive spots.Light, crisp, clean scent. It's fragrance-free but not scent free. It actually smells pretty good.Does a good job of cleaning baby. No residue after rinsing.We have no reactions. Even bathing baby every day (which I have to do now that she's a toddler) her skin doesn't try out or break out.Cons:Does not later well - requires a lot of product to wash baby. Bathing every day, we go through about 2 bottles a month.It's hard to rinse out, I have to either use the shower head or dump many buckets on baby to get it out of her hair.Does not condition hair. Though baby is good and squeaky clean, but hair feels kind of dry when done. It hurts her when I comb it wet after using this product. It is soft the next day, but baby hair is naturally soft.I have this on subscribe and save and have no intention of changing any time soon.4
