Not all Silver Needles are EqualPros: Bai Hao Yin Zhen picking Beautiful Presentation, e.g. packaging, the tin, the look of the buds, comes with a wooden teaspoon FDA Certified Organic Very potent in terms of body/mind feelsCons: Cleary, not from Fuding, I'm not even sure this is from Fujian, though it has the characteristics of Yunnan needles Late Harvest... the buds, though beautiful, are MUCH bigger than they should be Loses the floral tones once infused, I brew all my white tea gongfu style, and whether using fewer buds, a gaiwan, or Yixing clay, it's hard to get rid of the very bitter, haylike aftertaste, which is also very short-lived. Don't get me wrong, it's totally drinkable, but not quite the quality I'm used to.I would not recommend this as an introduction to Silver Needle. Though it is at least half the price as others, it is three times as bitter and will take an experienced brewer to get the right flavors... lower temps help, but again, it loses the floral notesOverall it's a fairly okay, tea, because of the great presentation I would think this would make a great gift, but I don't think it's going to make it into my personal stash again...3Great Tea, Strongly Recommended!I am so excited that I could finally purchase the real silver needle white tea on Amazon. This variety is the best in white tea and normally very hard to find here. I am amazed by the quality and flavor of this brand. I have tried so many different tea brands, and this is for sure the best so far. I am a very picky tea drinker. I care a lot about my tea quality since I believe all the health benefits that tea can bring to my body. There are two important things I try to stay away: about selecting tea: 1. I do not like to buy those packed individual wrapped tea bags because a lot of them are selecting the lower grade quality of the tea leaves to fill in the bags. If you cut one of those tea bags, you will know what I am talking about. Those tea leaves prepackaged in tea bags often are all small pieces with all different sizes, and the flavors are a lot weaker. I like to buy my whole leaves tea because I feel better when I see whole tea leaves so I know what I am drinking. It is the same concept of getting more whole food to consume than processed foods. If you just can't stand those tea leaves in your cup, just buy some tea bags (super cheap, they are everywhere on Amazon and any supermarket) and put the leaves in yourself. 2. Also, I do not like to buy flavored tea since I don't know what is added in my tea. If I want some flavor in my tea, I will add myself, such as adding some honey, dates, Gigi berries, lemons and mint leaves.Packaging: I like this caned packaging. It is so much easier and nicer to store my tea in a can. There is a separate aluminum bag to keep the tea fresh. And what I like this most is there is a cute little wooden spoon that come with the package.Tea Quality: like I mentioned earlier, I am amazed by the quality, you will only get this kind of quality in some high end tea shops where you have to buy the tea in lbs. All the tea leaves are pretty fat and are in even size.the tea leaves are well stacked, the tea leaves color are very rich and the tea smell is very fresh. And good white tea silver needle can stand up in the water after you brew it, all mine all stood up in the water (I attached a picture, this makes it so fun to drink the tea). Then I knew this brand's quality is really good!Taste: this is the white tea taste, it is a very fresh tea taste, there is no bitter taste to it. And when you brew the tea, you will immediately notice a rich tea smell comes from your cup.Side Note: try to google silver needle and you will know why I love it so much.5Join the wonderful world of loose leaf teaLike most people, I ve always been fond of drinking bagged tea. Conveniency and accessibility being the top reasons.Just recently my coworkers and I were discussing the cons of bagged tea. After I got home I did some additional research, and that made me realized it s time to ditch those tea bags.Aside from the fact that they often contain only dust & fannings, which made mostly from low quality leaves or stems, the nutrients, flavor, and aroma lose during leave grinding process when leaves exposed to moisture and oxygen.Compromising quality for convenience isn t really a wise choice for me, so I switched to loose leaf tea.I picked BestLeafTea because it s many positive reviews and the affordable price. I was quite amazed by the rich aroma of Jasmine when opening the lid. When the Jasmine Pearl is brewed, it is definitely fresher and more flavorful than any bagged tea I ve ever tried, not to mention the whole ritual of making tea the old-fashioned way feels more fun. I enjoy watching the loose leaves dance in the water as the tea infuses to develop a full flavor and aroma. Another perk is that I can use as much or as little tea as I like, which allows me to control the strength of my tea and create my own taste. I also love the fancy tin and the cute little wooden spoon came with it.So if you like tea with superior quality, switch to loose leaf tea and consider BestLeafTea.One little suggestion for the seller, it would make loose leaf tea beginners lives a whole lot easier if you have bundles for tea and tea pots :-)5Great tea at an affordable priceI have to say this is the best silver needle white tea I have ever had! The tea and packaging just looks exactly same as the pictures, very fresh, big silver needle buds with healthy white furs on the surface. I have tried some other brands silver needle teas, their tea buds are more thin and dry which should be from old crop year. Just by looking at the appearance, I can tell this one is the top quality. From the freshness, I know it is from recent 2016 crop.I love silver needle tea, not only because the delicious taste, but also the look of tea buds after infusion. The tea leaves look like standing in the water, so elegant and pretty. It is so enjoyable to drink silver needle (you need a clear glass bottle for sure). My favorite silver needle tea used to be from tao of tea but they were not consistent - they mixed it with green tea - so I stopped buying that brand. Then my search began for another perfect silver needle tea. I've tried several others. Some were good but none quite what I wanted. That's why I'm so glad I found this tea. It is an authentic great tasting silver needle tea. As soon as I opened the package, the aroma told me that this was going to taste great. It did. It has a smooth slightly sweet taste that's satisfying. The second brew taste great as well. The packaging is also fantastic and it came with the tiny wooden spoon. If you like drinking Jasmine green tea, I am sure you would love this one. Other Jasmine pearls I have had tend to taste bitter, but these ones were perfect. I used the spoon provided in the jar, 2 spoon pearls in 12 oz hot water gives you very delicious taste and you could refill water for at least five times, and it still has very nice floral scent with a sweet long lasting flavor in your mouth. The tea tin is also very unique and convenient. I hope the seller would offer bigger packaging so I can reuse the tin just for jasmine pearl tea. I really love jasmine green tea. This brand is my favorite now, will definately buy it again.5Pretty nice quality LongjingFirst off - this is decent tasting green tea. Especially for the price. Now... is it what the claim it is?
