A year ago I tore two tendons in my ankle ...A year ago I tore two tendons in my ankle and a piece of bone tore off with one (according to the MRI). I have been prescribed a lace up brace and knee high boot, plus physical therapy, all to no avail. I found this brace on Amazon and ordered it. It came almost immediately and 4 days later the pain ceased. I give this 5 stars and say, "Hooray!" Finally, after a year of suffering, it has healed. This brace pulled everything back together to let it heal! 5Perfect choice for a sprained ankle!After spraining my ankle and treating it with ice, I was ready for an ankle support brace. The old one I had did not have a strap to adjust it. After searching on-line, I found this ankle support brace with adjustable straps. Then my dilemma was whether to order a medium or large size. I am small boned but boy was my ankle swollen! I ordered the large and it provided immediate adjustable support for my ankle. As the swelling subsided, I was able to use the straps to tightened the compression sleeve as needed. If you've sprained your ankle and are looking for an ankle support brace, I highly recommend this product! 5runs very smalli wear a woman's size 8 shoe, so ordered a S/M. this brace was so tight had trouble getting it on, after only a few hours had to take it off with lots of effort because my foot was in pain, the foot/toe area had swelled from what i feel was lack of blood....the idea is a great one, just too bad they made it so small. the reason i brought it was for support from a fall 6 weeks early and a fracture ankle. i still needed a good support of ankle when ankle brace was no longer needed.i would suggest buying a larger size unless you have a very narrow leg and foot. 3Great Compression/Support BraceThis support brace works just as advertised. What I love about it is that it compresses your foot and supports your ankle. It is less bulky than some braces and fit better with shoes. I have not been able use the brace with regular shoes because of swelling. It does fit with tennis shoes with laces. I am recovering from a metatarsal fracture and have some peroneal tendon inflammation and this brace helped. It reduced pain when I walked so I was able to walk more without a crutch. I wear a 7 1/2 to 8 women's shoe and the small/medium fit fine. It goes on easier in the morning when your foot isn't as swollen. 5Best of the Four Ankle Braces I BoughtI bought four different ankle braces. This one offers me the best support without the bulk of a lace up brace like the ASO. The figure 8 straps can be adjusted which is really helpful in preventing inversion type injuries of the lateral ankle. The straps have also improved my plantar fasciitis. This one fits me the best too. I'm a small female (5' 2" 109 lbs with a size 6 foot), and the other brace that was designed to fit S/M was just too big (Liveup Sports ankle brace). After using this brace, I quit wearing the Nordic Quality compression sleeves that I had bought. They felt too tight after a while and couldn't be adjusted like this one can. 5Almost instant relief, great product.There are so many compression sleeves put there its hard to choose, I purchased this product and was drawn in by the over color scheme and the x-strap. Overall I am 100% happy with the purchase, I thought the x-strap was detachable but it is not. But thats not a bad thing, the sleeve with the strap feels amazing on my ankle and I noticed almost instant relief on my ankle and heel. Before I bought this product I bought a generic sleeve from walmart and used a bandage wrap and those don't come close to the relief this product has brought. After a few weeks of wearing the product on a daily basis my ankle is much better and feels like it is healing. I can easily put a sock over the sleeve and it doesn't feel odd or bulky.So overall I am glad I spent a few extra bucks and got this product it was a little more than I wanted to spend but the fact my ankle is doing much better in just a few weeks it was worth it. 5Great productDidn't think these (I bought 2) would provide the support I needed for my weak ankles, but now I can't run without them. Fits perfectly underneath my socks, can't feel them when I'm running, they don't rub or leave hot spots. I'm a women's size 7 in shoes, and the S/M fits perfectly. I use them almost every day, wash them often, and they are as good as the first day day I used them. Very satisfied with this product! 5Great PurchaseI received it on time. It is easy to use. Slip it on like a sock. The bands wrap around your ankle and provide support. I sprained my ankle and once the swelling went down I wanted a different kind of wrap. This is sock-like and does not have a thick band that you will feel like with some of the others. Best ankle wrap I purchase for myself, I do have others, but they are tight and uncomfortable. I don't really work out while I have a sprained ankle so I cannot comment on that aspect. 5Best I've found so far.I've tried several ankle support sleeves since injuring my ankle a year and a half ago. So far, this one is the best. It's not uncomfortable to wear for an 8 hour shift on my feet at work and I can wear it with my shoes, which is something I've had a hard time finding in an ankle support. It definitely helps to keep my ankle from hurting and giving out randomly over the course of the day. Highly recommend. 5My physical therapist and I both like them.When I broke my ankle, I also had ligament damage so once I got out of the walking boot my physical therapist recommended a figure 8 support brace. This brace seems to provide support and my therapist approved. It's comfortable to wear, easily adjustable, and doesn't make my foot hot.The only reason I took away a star is because I worry about how it will hold up long term. The "velcro" tabs fasten extremely well but sometimes in unfastening them the fabric they are attached to fuzzes a little bit - not so much that it pills or develops loose threads, but enough that you wonder if it might in the future. I haven't had them long and I haven't seen any degradation of performance. I also assume they will last through my particular strain recovery. But if you were planning on wearing this for a longer time I'm not sure how it would perform after, say, a year.Still, for an ankle sprain, I would recommend these. 4
