These things are made in CHINA!Altoids were originally a proud product, made in England so they were a bit on the expensive side. Come to find out, they re now made in China (and therefore should be less expensive) and the reason we tend to buy Chinese products. But, look at the outrageous price of these things now. Who is getting shafted, here? Are we now paying for the expensive metal containers (which need to be recycled) or the cheap ingredients that go into making them? Wait a minute...neither of those things make sense! Okay... I admit it. They are a tasty little product, but they re candy...not mints. NO MINT FLAVOR AT ALL. So why the staggering price? I understand tariffs and the problems they ve caused, but this is ridiculous. Not to mention that we re also paying taxes for a perishable product! The next price hike and I ll bow out...3They are the best mints I have ever gotGot hooked on these when I randomly picked up a box of them at our local Michaels crafts store. When I went to get more they didn't have them. Looked everywhere for these. So thankful I found these here. They are the best mints I have ever got. Sooooo yummy and the flavor is amazing. I let a candy store employee taste one and he fell in love and was looking for ways to get this in his store. The strawberry flavor is sweet and minty but not over the top like most altoids. I can't say enough about these mints. Even the boxes are cute and don't open up in my purse like others have. I am almost out of these now and I will be ordering them again very soon. I stopped bragging about them and sharing them because they went too fast. Every single person that has tried them has said the same thing....OMG THOSE ARE AMAZING. They are!! NEVER STOP SELLING THESE!!!5Strong smell but great tasteThese mints smell so strong that you can smell them through the unopened package. I'm surprised they don't attract ants because they make the cabinet where I store them smell like artificial strawberry odor. But they taste great on the tongue and I find myself chain eating them half a tin at a time.5Beware if you are sensitive to artificial sweetenersThese were absolutely delicious and a great value. They caused severe abdominal cramping and pain for me even though I only ate 5 or 6 during a 24 hour period. If you have sensitivities to artificial sweeteners, be aware. I suggest purchasing a single pack to try out before committing to the multi-pack. Disappointed I couldn't tolerate them because they really are delicious.4Main ingredient: sorbitol. DO NOT EAT LIKE CANDY.Warning: do not eat like candy.So these things are REALLY tasty - but because they are made of sorbitol, your body can t really break it down. I ate a whole tin in one sitting and it causes some serious gastrointestinal problems. It s the same stuff they give you the night before a colonoscopy.4Taste great, cause other problemsSo, I love these things but I had to call it quits because they're made with Sorbitol. This particular sugar-free sweetener substitute has some relatively benign side effects in small quantities, but I literally can't stop myself from eating these if they're on my desk at work. If you're like me, you'll experience some stomach upset if you eat more than a few in one go.Anyway, I've switched over to mints with real sugar - and also started watching myself on the compulsive snacking. I wish altoids had a line of natural products.3This is my third order, I'm an addict.The flavor is an old-fashioned-candy strawberry with a little bite of peppermint. Everyone I've shared them with gets hooked too. As with any product containing sugar alcohol (sorbitol, in this case, xylitol etc.), taking too many on an empty stomach will give you either gas or the runs, or both. Don't be out of control like me and eat half the can in an hour.5My new favorite Altoids productMy old favorite Altoids brand, Simply Mint was discontinued over a year ago. Since then, I have been searching for a replacement, and I believe I just found it in Altoids Arctic Strawberry. One the things I loved about Simply Mint was that it wasn't flat out 'minty'. It lacked the punch that menthol typically lends to mint flavor. Arctic Strawberry doesn't have any menthol taste at all. It has an pleasant strawberry flavor that's great to suck on for awhile before chewing up the last part of the mint.5My wife LOVES theseShe found them once somewhere and has been looking in every store we go to since, can't find them around. So I bought this case for her. I think they might be too good because they are disappearing like they are candy (from her and the kids). I don't really like Altoids, but I tolerate their "strongness". These have none of that issue they taste great and have NO strong sharp taste at all.5Addictive flavor!My mouth is watering just writing this review. The flavor does sound weird, but it was weird enough for me to check out, and the reviews are right. So good! I wish I wouldn't always want to chew my mints; not good to go through 10 an hour, lol! But, it's a nice flavor and great for when you've brushed your teeth and don't want to dirty them (do wait a bit- not as bad as o.j., but I imagine not good). I have come to hate mints or gums with sugar; no furry teeth with this one.10 stars for flavor and no sugar! (Xylitol is a natural sugar, but it's actually good for oral care)5
