Cheap and cannot be returned - buyer bewareThis was a complete waste of 12 dollars. Unfortunately, it cannot be returned. I wanted to hopefully upgrade the cuff I already bought here, but this was not the case. It is cheap and scratchy and does not apply enough pressure to the affected area. The materials are cheap and hard (not what you want in a brace you will be wearing for an extended time) and the air bladder slides out too easily. Aesthetically, the cheap grey foam padding is exposed when fastened. Cheap, useless, and cannot be returned. Buyer beware! 1Works when others don't.Even though I saw this when my elbow first got hurt, I skipped over this one. I didn't want the little airbag sticking out of my sleeve. Bought one that looked nicer, seemed better built, and even after the closed reduction procedure and was released to get away from full brace, still used the other brace. Which, wasn't working at all. The physical therapist recommended this one, The day it came in, I was wearing the other brace, still having same pain, and within a couple of hours after putting this brace on, there was an appreciable difference. So, I am ordering another one, so that there is a spare when one needs cleaning. Highly recommend this product. 5air bubble compress, fell out 1st usethis bubble is crucial to the band working, and if it can fall out so easily, and i have no idea where it fell out, i wore it to work i cant check, nor did i think i needed to check to see if it was there. so now i have a useless band. i would like another air compressor and glue if it i have to, coz i can't return due to the sellers rules. which i didn't even know was a thing here on amazon. it is the 1st time i have been unable to return anything. i will be sure to check in future and will not purchase from those companies. 1Not designed for WomenIf you're a woman looking for an armband, try a different one. This one's made for someone with larger forearms. I'm 5'10" and fit, and do a lot of outdoor, and was impressed by folks who wrote it's more comfortable than other brands. Not for me. To the band to be effective, I have to make it very tight; when I do so, it pinches and hurts. The problem is the hard plastic piece under the cushion. As a result, I have to wear it over a long sleeve shirt or sweater. In fairness, it does help with tennis elbow, but this model is not for those lacking buff forearms. 1Supported by scienceAfter trying a few braces, I found that this is the only one that provided actual relief. This particular strap is supported by a study [Anderson, et al. "The Effects of Counterforce Bracing on Forearm and Wrist Muscle Function" J of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy Vol 15 (2), 1992]. The air pocket properly distributes the pressure across the extensor bundle. Unlike some of the other straps, this one does not have to be on so tight that it affects circulation to do its job. It is comfortable to wear and very effective. Highly recommend. 5or if it simply reminds me to go easy on the armI am always a bit skeptical when I see medical devices that seem way too simple. I was hesitant to order one of these when my nurse practitioner suggested it, but after enduring a couple of months of gradually worsening pain, it even hurt to shake hands with people, I broke down.Now I will admit, I joked with my wife that I don't know if it is working by itself, or if it simply reminds me to go easy on the arm, but after wearing it for a week I am surprised. I woke up for the first time this morning with no pain in my elbow.Pro's: it's cheap and seemingly effective. :-)Con's: according to my nurse the pictures don't demonstrate proper placement. The air pack should be practically right next to your elbow, and should be nestled right in front of the crease of the inside of your elbow - snug, but not so tight as to cut off circulation. Also, it is a bit of a pain to get it positioned properly, so sweet talk a friend or loved one into helping you out. 4It works ok for the pain but better than nothing since none of the things the doctor ...I received this from my orthopedic doctor after having problems with my albow. I purchased an additional one to use for home and work. It works ok for the pain but better than nothing since none of the things the doctor has recommended has worked for long term including the cortisone shot. My issue with this is the bubble does not stay in place and constantly digging into my arm causing a different type of pain than the tennis elbow. 3This armband is a life saver! I use this ...This armband is a life saver ! I use this for work every day because I work at a machine and with repetitive movements with my arms every day one of my arms hurts. This armband makes it possible for me to get through the work day be helping the pain. I even used it on my upper arm above the elbow one day when I woke up with the pain in that area and I started working without the armband on that area but after 15 minutes of work I could not work with the pain so I moved the armband from the lower portion of my arm where I wear it and moved it to the area that really really hurt. I felt the relief right away and I was able to get through the workday without the pain. I have been asked by co-workers where I bought it because several of them have the same pain from work. I have ordered several of these armbands for my co-workers and today I ordered a couple of more for myself to keep aside when the air pillow breaks. I have had that happen before perhaps because I use it for 8 hours a day 5 days a week. 5So hard to keep onWhat a disappointment! Here I am in Physical therapy for a golfer's elbow and I don't play golf. My injury is from knitting. It is very painful. My therapist recommended this air cast. Unfortunately, when I took it in so she could show me how to use it correctly. she commented, " Oh! There is no pocket!" The pocket that holds the plastic bubble is not built in to this arm band. This makes it hard to keep on and rather uncomfortable to keep readjusting. It does relieve the pain when I can manage to keep it on. The plastic against the skin does not feel good either, especially in hot weather. It is unfortunate that what was apparently a good product that even therapists recommend has been modified and does not perform as expected. 3The Absolute best band I have ever usedThe Absolute best band I have ever used! The air pillow is much larger than all the others I have used, which puts compression on a larger area and relieves the pain. This is the 3rd one of these I have bought as I have given the others away to friends in need. Simple design and works great. Easy to put on and adjust. Highly recommend this. 5
