It was a little difficult to get them on while i was having a flare up but I'm so glad I have them on my doors nowI sometimes have achey hands/fingers/wrists due to fibromyalgia. Having these on the doors i use daily has really helped me so much. It was a little difficult to get them on while i was having a flare up but I'm so glad I have them on my doors now.Anything to minimize my pain is a tremendous help. I barely have to grab the doorknobs with these covers on. I can just push down on one side of the knob on a bad day instead of making a gripping motion. If you're thinking about trying these you should get some. 5For those hard to turn knobs!I live with two people who suffer from arthritis. The garage door leading into the house has a knob that is difficult to turn for me...it's impossible for the two of them to turn it at all. I simply added this plastic grip, and now both can open the door every time! They have thanked me repeatedly for the installation. I'm just glad the solution was so simple! 5excellent for post hand surgeryI'm so excited about my new door grips. I had surgery on my left hand and then fell and got put in a splint for my right hand! I couldn't open any doors. I put the gripper so that the wing is vertical instead of horizontal how they show in the picture and find it's easier to use that way. I can use 2 fingers or an elbow to open the door. I highly recommend it. 5Not for our doorknobsTook almost half hour to push the thick, hard plastic (?) cover onto the new doorknob, then it worked just okay for the first few days before it began to work itself off. It was hard to keep the cover pushed back far enough to turn the lock switch. The thick protrusions were a hinderance against the door frame. Next time I'll try harder to find soft, thin material to stretch over and grip the knob - like the ones we had in our old house. 1Doorknob Grips Save WristsThese grips are a reasonable substitute between round door knobs and replacing them with levers. Installation was a snap--let them sit in hot water for 30 seconds and they slide right on. You may have to experiment a little with positioning the levers. One worked well in a horizontal position, but another worked better at about a 45-degree angle. The material is soft enough to allow opening the doors with the back of the hand, convenient if hands are full or if the wrists are particularly painful that day. 4Great for the newer smaller doorknobs tooSince manufactures reduced the doorknob size by 1/2" on ones I put on doors in my sun room, it was hard to get a good grip until I installed these grips. I first thought it was my age until I measured my existing house doorknobs and compared it to the new ones and found the new ones are smaller. These grips solved the problem. 5Doesn't work on my doorI need this for my front door. The little hole in the rubber blocks the knob I need to turn to lock my door. Our front door is hard to open, so it may not be the best test for this product. There's no way I could just lightly push it (as in the product photo) and have the door open. Might work better on interior doors with no locks. 3Help for My Arthritic HandsI've been having problems only with the door knob that goes from the kitchen to the garbage (and back), so I had been wrapping those thing rubber bands from vegetable purchases (on broccoli/asparagus) around the doorknob, and finally I decided that there must be a product made for this. I found these, and it's great! Never have a gripping issue again! It's easy to put on, always works, and very durable! 5He can open an unlocked door somewhat easily now because of the fins he can jump onI actually purchased these to protect my dogs teeth, as it was discovered he'd been chewing on the metal knobs when I left. He was wearing the crowns off his teeth and denting metal. He can open an unlocked door somewhat easily now because of the fins he can jump on, so they do their job for easier opening lol. They're great covers for what they're really designed for. Only thing is that the fins have a little hard/ stiff plastic square inside - similar to collar staysstays- which occasionally migrate out. I just leave them out for my purposes. 5Doorknob opens easily nowI paid a locksmith $100 to get my front door open one night and it turned out not to be a problem with the lock, but with my lack of grip. Problem solved! I have this on the doorknob and have no problems getting the door open. The condo association doesn't want me to put a lever doorknob on the door (unless everyone in my building gets one and I'm not paying for that). If you have bad hands like I do, these grips are a big help. 5
