Plastic and quality may not be grade A, but it s good. Was easy to put together. When it s full, tabs Lock in place to insure safe transport to a disposal location. Grandpa only needs to inject once a week. So this should last the entire year. It s huge. Can t beat the price. In some places, any hard puncture-resistant container, like a plastic bleach bottle, is permitted. But inquisitive minds might open one to see what's rattling around on the inside. Your safely stored sharps and biohazard items are no longer safely stored. Using a proper sharps container, like this one, helps to satisfy the inquisitive mind. If the red color and biohazard stickers aren't enough, you can see contents through the translucent plastic.The mail-slot cover works nice, just drop your syringe, needle, etc. in the slot and gravity pulls it in. When it's time to seal it up, the slot securely fits in the tabs. Some municipalities will accept this as regular trash, others require special disposal.5it does come off easily. Thank you!5Great container for auto injecting pensI have recently found myself in a position where I have to administer my own injections through the use of an auto injecting pen. Smaller Sharps Containers do not seem to work very well for these Auto injecting pens and this container works great for them. The slot is big enough that you can just drop the injection pen in the slot and you are done! Simple and easy with plenty of room. Container is estimated to hold several hundred 1-cc syringes commonly used by diabetics. Once filled to capacity proper disposal of container is highly recommended - - - attempts to reuse could be hazardous to your health.4Great containner - nice and big - cost effective!It's huge and fits under the sink - win-win!Its been collecting needles from insulin injections for both my oldest dog and my wife (6 needles a day) for a little while now and isn't close to full. Much better cost compared to the ones that you buy in the drug stores or in Walmart which will maybe hold 60 needles or so before you have to dispose of it.Nice feature - drop the needles in the bin and the hinged cover will generally activate itself and swing enough to drop the needle into the bin. Keeps you from having to put your hands on it most times.5
