Great socks - colors not at depicted.These would get 5 stars if the colors in the picture were accurate. You get black, blue, beige, and brown. I broke my ankle in July and my foot still swells everyday. Doesn't help that I am on my feet most of the day as a teacher. These socks help keep the swelling down! I wish I had learned of these socks earlier in my career. They help so much not only with keeping the swelling down, but my legs and feet are not as tired at the end of the day. They wash well and will hopefully hold up for a long time. 4Beautiful, Comfortable, Price great, Fun, Not boring.I have Fibro Myalgia & Lymphedema. My legs ached & were very swollen.I tried several styles & sizes as well as compression strength. Some I couldn't get on. Others were too tight & hurt too much to wear. These are mild compression so they aren't really too painful. In fact they make my legs feel great. I have had trouble finding support hose that are short enough for my calves. Most are too long & have to be turned down or creased right under the knee, causing tight spots. Only problem is the compression around the ankles cause creases that I have to adjust a few times a day. I love the bright colors & designs. I wear these 24/7, except when bathing & have gotten the swelling in my legs to reduce 3" so far. I love these. The hem at the top isn't too tight & there's plenty of room for toes to wiggle. I totally recommend these support hose. The price is fantastic. I wash mine by hand & hang them on the towel rack on the towel. 56 months of testing these out, and I really love them!I've given these socks a 6-month trial, and I'm ready to give my honest review! For starters, I've been wearing compression socks fairly regularly for the last 3 or 4 years, after two instances of superficial thrombophlebitis (small clots/inflammation in the surface veins) in my calves, stemming from years of 12+ hour days on my feet in work boots on concrete and grating. I ordered these as a light-weight alternative to the athletic-style socks I usually wear, and I ordered them when I found out I was pregnant and knew I would need to wear my compression socks more often.On days when my feet/calves were especially swollen, I preferred my athletic compression socks over the Dr. Motion compression socks. It seems they did a better job at getting rid of the swelling. BUT, on days when my feet/calves weren't swollen, or only lightly swollen, these did a much better job overall, and were more comfortable. It seems they were better at KEEPING the swelling down, something I appreciated!! And the Dr. Motion socks are COMFORTABLE. Unlike my other compression socks, I have NO areas that bind too tightly. My other compression socks will bite in to my upper calf, below my knee, and they can be uncomfortable by the end of the day. I don't have that problem at all with the Dr. Motion socks. My other socks will also occasionally slouch, causing ridges and indentations that usually cause additional swelling - NOT SO with the Dr. Motion socks!!These are just all-around comfortable, and great for mild edema or swelling. OR, if you spend lots of time on your feet, they are super energizing and help keep your legs feeling fantastic! I regularly wear them while sleeping, as well.Plus, they're super cute!I deducted one star because the large polka-dot ones seem to have issues with the threads not holding... the polka-dots actually seem to be a weak point, and the threads snap/fray in those areas, making the socks not as effective (though still comfortable.) I have not yet had the same issue with the small polka-dot socks, nor have I had any issues with the striped or argyle socks. If I could've given a 4.5, I would have. 4I would recommend these.I'll be ordering another set of these. The fit is great for a 24" calf and they have some light compression to them. So far, they are holding up well and there's enough stretch to the top of them that they stay up. 5MEN! Fly on your feet all day in these incredible socks!Firstly, I am a man and I wear a size 10.5 shoe (American). I am 6'1" and I weigh about 210 lbs. I am 61 years old. The socks fit perfectly and do not ever slide down, they stay in place all day and are very comfortable. The sock goes up to just below my knee and the seam is well made and doesn't dig in. I have severe varicose veins in both feet and legs. These socks have eliminated the swelling and the resultant pain to such a degree that I can now walk normally, I no longer need a cane, and I can now wear my shoes comfortably all day and into the evening. These socks saved my life. I was so depressed because I honestly believed I might lose my legs because of the edema, and the pain was excruciating. Then I tried compression socks. I tried a lot of different brands. These are the best yet. They wear great and seem to last forever. The socks for women fit me just fine, the socks for men seem to cost more and are not as easy on the eye. These compression socks are 100% superior to any ordinary dress sock or athletic sock for men available today! Try them and you'll never wear ordinary socks again! These socks are stretch Lycra and thin but still are incredibly comfortable, but Dr. Motion also makes a thicker sock with some padding in the foot but honestly, just try them and you will practically fly on your feet all day! 5Perfect medium support socks. They are fashionable and fun!The socks are great if you have a larger calf, or want a sock that is not overly binding. I prefer lighter support, as I don't wear these for medical reasons. I am on my feet for a good part of the day, so these offer just the right amount of support without hurting. Some support socks actually end up feeling painful... these do not. They come all the way to my knee and I am nearly 6' tall. If you are shorter, and heavy legs, I bet they would still come to the top of your knee.The upper band is not constricting, yet the socks stay in position and never slip downFriends and new friends, if this review has been helpful, please click YES. Deal killer for me.These socks have light compression. Their main attribute along with being well-knit and well-priced for lower end compression socks, is that they are so colorful. I haven't used them enough yet to comment on longevity but you can be sure that I will add that information in the future.I do have one big frustration with this company, rather with the method of merchandising. I would buy several more pairs if I could get what I want, which is to say if I could put together my own package of styles/colors. Currently, the customer is forced to buy styles he or she may not need or want just to get the one(s) they do. I am writing a review for these because I LOVE them! I am a 5'8" female with a size 10 foot and genetic problems of varicose/spider veins and poor leg circulation. For the past few years I've been relying on the "miracle socks" as seen o TV sold at Walgreens and CVS - they were OK but I love the Dr. Motion compression stockings much more!!! I have a size 9-10 foot, and the regular size was perfect for me...just right. They are not extreme compression stockings, but just enough compression to be comfortable yet give some compression in the calves. I dont agree with other reviewers who said they are not compression stockings but just regular socks. I DO indeed find them to have a light-moderate compression quality, feeling like they are squeezing my calves slightly. They are very comfortable, fit me perfectly at 5'8" at about 145 lbs. I received the colors exactly as shown: a black with polka-dots, a black with multi stripes, a grey and black with multi triangles - they are cute! I already washed them in machine, hang dry, and they came out good. I hope this helps others who are looking for light compression stockings. 5I like the socks very muchI like the socks very much. They are very comfortable. The one problem I find is that when you order a certain four pack you should get what you order. I ordered the pack showing 4 different color pairs but instead of getting the black with the stripes, I got two pair of the black with polka dots.I like them but an order should be what you order. 4Love these.
