Best AroundAs a retired R.N., I can say that the 3M Micropore tape (just "paper tape" as it's generally called) is the best out there. I purchased another paper tape that didn't stick well, and you could practically see through it; not good!You can tear this tape easily. If you're a little OCD, you can also cut it.So if you're one with sensitive skin, this is the tape for you. It also comes in 2". 5Better than Nexcare!Oh I love this! This is the one I used to use when I was a teenager. Immediately before this, I was using Nexcare. I debated between Nexcare paper tape and this, and wondered what's the difference between them. I wondered whether Nexcare paper tape is just a marketing/ branding effort trying to sell the same thing at a higher price. As a consumer, we definitely want to find out the trick and avoid that. It turns out this works better than Nexcare. The dispenser of Nexcare is not needed anyway, because I can easily tear it off. The dispenser just makes it hard to carry around when traveling, and my dispenser was broken after many trips.Also, this is 1", and Nexcare is 3/4". 1" works better than 3/4", because I need a tape to pull something together with certain level of strength. 1" brings perfect strength. And it's MUCH cheaper than Nexcare. This box can last me several years. A wise decision! 5The tape itself is good; they are loose in the box and not ...The tape itself is good; they are loose in the box and not wrapped. . not at all happy when the full box arrives with one end open and no damage to the outer packaging. That is called open box, it is compromised. And should not be selling as if it were "brand new". Especially medical supplies which must be kept and handled with sanitation in mind by sellers. An open box is going to be susceptible to cross contamination. i may still use it but i am hesitating. 1PAPER TAPE THAT WONT STICKI have medical tape that is stretchy and has small round pores in it that I love. Inside the tube it says "3M micropore," so I thought that this tape, which says the same thing on the inside would be the same thing. Unfortunately, this is nothing but cheap paper tape, the kind that immediately unsticks from skin with the slightest movement. It also is inelligable for return. Don't waste your money. 1The price was great, the cheapest I have ever seen it anywhere ...I purchased 2 boxes of the paper tape for my son who uses it to attach a gauze eye pad to an injury he sustained in a car crash. He will need this product for the rest of his life. The product is the same quality as the hospital uses. The price was great, the cheapest I have ever seen it anywhere and it was delivered ahead of the scheduled delivery date. 5are you a night time mouth breather?I tear off a single 4-inch strip and place it across my mouth at bedtime. Naturally - it totally eliminates mouth breathing at night. I did some research on all the negatives of mouth breathing and all the benefits of nasal breathing. This tape has helped convince of the truth in the claims. I wake up feeling like I've had a great night's sleep. There is no more dry mouth or dry throat. It also helps with snoring and apnea. I will also be looking for improvements in dental checkups and perhaps my GERD. BTW... I was concerned about the tape being too sticky - so I just double over a half centimeter giving me something to grab onto. 5Excellent stuffI use a single strip of this to tape my mouth shut for sleeping.the tape is light weight, very flexible, has a strong adhesive.The adhesive leaves zero residue when I pull off the tape. 5Very useful papertapeThis tape is the absolute best. I have to use to keep a hormone patch on and all other paper tape will either not stick for any longer than 10 min after applied, or will rip your skin off and itches. This tape sticks as it supposed to and will come off without any discomfort at all, and I leave on for a week at a time. Very good product and buying in bulk is a perfect. 5Highly Recommended by Repeat UserI have frequent surgery for skin cancer and I've used this paper tape for years. It is great for my skin which is, as expected, thin with age. The paper tape sticks quite well, but is not so sticky as to pull the skin causing bleeding or pain.The paper tape my dermatologist uses is just too sticky and causes my skin to bruise and hurt when removed, so I now take this tape in for my surgeries as my dermatologist's nurse uses this tape. In fact, my dermatologist recently asked me where I got the tape.The price for this box makes the price far, far better than the $3.95 price at my local CVS.I'm on my second box ...highly recommended for anyone with thin skin that is prone to tear. 5An essential for bandagings/dressingsBrand names became brand names because they make products that are better than the competition, and this is a prime example. There are a lot of manufacturers of paper tape out there, but I have yet to find one (I'm a doc) that does a better job of balancing adhesion and painless removal with breathability than the 3M product. Yes, this is exactly what we use in the hospital, and yes, there's a reason. If you're stocking up, you need some of this, some plastic perforated tape (TransPore is the 3M brand if you want to go with the genuine article) and very little else. 5
